Probably an even better bet over bottled spring water considering how much shit those have.

Mods feel free to move this wherever, but its definitely something to note. Although I wonder how many people will actually use/try it....Cant get any more sterile though

I think it should be mentioned (before anyone tries this) that this refers to the water of green coconuts.
Not the (often quite old) water that can be found in ripened imported brown coconuts.
So this is more useful for people living in the tropics

i think for IV drug use it's more practical to just boil water ... but I admit that for style reasons alone it has a certain appeal.

I guess i did make a huge leap in assuming people would read the article and find that out. Just green unrippened coconuts.

Although I believe they tried both ones in the USA AND elsewhere, and talk about how any coconut, as long as it is still sealed to the outside world, is still sterile. Meaning that the underrippened imports can be used. But youre right Juremo, most that are sold in the states are not in such condition, although in some stores you can buy the unripe coconuts nuts. And those are still sterile as long as they have no holes/cracks/breaks and are young enough. I guess just make sure you buy a good unrippened one?

Although I guess if a coconut costs more than $, most people wont go that route. My whole point was though: definitely beats urine and toilet water. And i've read of people using much, much, worse (ie spit)

Theres also a difference between coconut MILK and coconut WATER, so I feel thats important.

The style is undeniable youre right on that one lol.

Yeah I remember posting about this a while ago, very interesting!

I love aqua de coco, but I don't think I'd want to use anything other than sterile water/saline for injections.

Some interesting things to point out:
1. It is very important to filter the coconut water beforehand (at least using a cotton etc)
2. Don't think this means it is safe to use the type of coconut water than comes packaged in bottles/tetrapacks etc
3. It was found to be painful if it was injected too fast or into too small a vein (they theorized this was due to the potassium content)

All in all, it sounds like an excellent alternative for people who live in areas where young coconuts are readily available and sterile water is not.
