Hey
@Saulire
I'm stoked to hear you have gotten good information over the years. Bluelight is indeed the shit. Also, thanks for throwing this old man an easy one.
Codeine and Tramadol are equivalent, so 1:1. Your dose of 400mg Tramadol = 400mg Codeine. That one is pretty simple. Of course, Tramadol has peripheral action as a Selective Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor (SNRI) however this isn't particularly relevant for what we are discussing here, which is an Opioid equivalent, not a complete replication of Tramadol's effects.
This means you're going to need to wash up several hundred milligrams of Codeine to equate for one of your usual doses. That's fine, just make sure you do the procedure correctly. When you start dealing with really high dosages like this, you want to be certain you are removing the excipients from your final tincture. Make sure you allow enough time for everything to settle. Don't take chances, especially if you're going to be repeating this process in the future. It's easy to consume large quantities of APAP if you do not allow enough time for the reaction or you do not filter properly.
It's not rocket science though. Take your time, follow the instruction and you will be fine.
Furthermore, if you are in a tight spot with limited supplies, you can manipulate the metabolism of Codeine to ultimately allow more Codeine to be demethylated to Morphine. While there is no easy way to boost 2D6 (the enzyme converting Codeine to Morphine), you can ultimately make your product go farther by manipulating 3A4, which is easier to manipulate with exogenous substances.
A portion of Codeine is metabolized by 3A4 to Norcodeine, a by-product we do not actually want. When you inhibit 3A4, this means less Codeine can be metabolized to Norcodeine, sending it back through the metabolic process to be turned to Codeine by 2D6. It is a relatively modest increase, but if supplies are limited, it might be worth your time.
The information is out there regarding enzyme manipulation, but if you have questions feel free to hit me up.
