I have searched the bluelight forums for anything closely related to this, but came up empty handed. Hoping a few of you fellows could help.

I'm really just looking for any case studies, journals, or personal knowledge of how tourettes syndrome is effected by cocaine use. I've had a mild case of tourettes syndrome since a young boy. Surprisingly by age 15-16 it had all but deminished, no more "ticks" with exception of very few easy to hide ones. I had always steered away from cigarettes, caffeine, and other stimulates because of how it interacted with TS. Well one thing leads to another and I found myself doing some nose candy, long story short, cocaine, the ultimate stimulate didn't have any effect once so ever on my TS. In fact, it toned down the few noticable ones. This might be to ambigious to answer, but any information would be great. 1+1 isn't = 2 for me right now. Thanks

*Note that drinkig excessive ammounts of soda, or smoking cigarettes still effect my TS. That should eliminate the possiblity that I have all but overcome the TS, and that's why cocaine doesn't mess with it.

**Also strange if you read the post by BlacklightKarma, his TS remarkably got better once he hit adolescents. None of his other issues pertain to me though.**

DON'T Shoot it!!

Don't know about tourettes.. I would think it would make it worse. I know it makes me move uncontrolabley8) specially when i do to much.. It also matters how your doing it.. Anything to relieve symtomes is a good thing8) 8)

I have Tourrette's, although like many others mine began to diminish as I turned 15, and now at 19 it is all but gone. I still have the occasional very rare tic attack. I take ritalin for school and it does not make me tic, even though when it was prescribed to me when I was very young it gave me my first tic, which was an uncontrollable eye blinking.

High doses of any stimulant, including ritalin, will make me tic on the other hand, although it never gets as bad as it was when I was 12 or 13, when my tics peaked.

I know that I have ADD and when I do some "NOSE CADY" it makes me not want to talk and if I do speak It wont be for a long period of time before I think that I am talking to much and thus I stop. . . . I smoke like a pack a night if possible and possibly two if I am heavily drinking w/ nose candy.
