cocaine testing

is there any reagent that reacts with cocaine and nothing else? or atleast not with any of the usual cuts that are added to cocaine.

mandelin gives a nice orange with coke and nothing with procaine (or was it lidocaine?). these sort of tests determine qualitatively, ie they prove presence of a substance, not purity. If you want to determine purity: do a melting point test or have it analyzed in a lab!

that's a cobaltthiocyanate test, it reacts to all -caine type drugs. personally I like Mandelin bgetter for coke! because it also reacts to speed & some other (un)common cut.
