Cocaine Cocaine overdose/aneurysm?

I am a seldom stim user, and from my medical file an proprietor of low-normal blood pressure. recently i have started smoking cigarettes again (only one or two kools a day), and apparently having panic attacks. last night i underestimated the strength of my yak (my friend's word, not mine) and provoked an anxiety attack after vacuuming 2 lines.

i immediately experienced shortness of breath (think asthma) and my blood pressure erupted. this took place over the course of maybe 1-1.5 minutes. i managed to run upstairs to my bathroom to splash myself with tap water and ground flight with regressed baby breaths.

i then walked into my pitch black bedroom and noticed out of the corner of my left eye a ghost-like pixelated sprite. the red aura was similar to the green one i had as a child, when i would turn the sun black by staring at it. the spot displaced itself back to the edge of my tunnel vision every time i blinked, then would lose reception as it moved further and further left.

the bathroom i came from was harshly lit compared to my bed room, and i had no headache/migraine for the two minutes or so while the spot persisted. in your opinion could this non-religious experience have been adrenaline? an aneurysm (or an unruptured aneurysm), or blood pressure simply irritating the retina?

my mind feels humid and foggy since this muggy state of affairs began, which is why i worriedly ask for your opinion. is this normal for cocaine/amphetamine users? and how should i evaluate for tissue damage?

I have pretty bad panic attacks though, so i'm not exaggerating any of the physical symptoms above. disregarding the amount of charlie, does it medically sound like an aneurysm?

Sounds like u had a yeast infection;)

Seriously though, I also believe it was anxiety fueled by adrenaline. Glad you are ok. Let it be a lesson though- Never underestimate the power of your "yak",
or any other load-bearing livestock for that matter.-DG

Well put DG.

If you ever get pure cocaine, you will need to take "heroin sized" lines of it (really, really tiny lines) unless you have a monstrous coke tolerance.

coke is a delicacy for me, but would any coke/crack users say blurred vision or high blood pressure a pretty normal if used in excess?

And to answer you, I imagine any stimulant will raise blood pressure to some degree. As far as blurred vision, I do not believe this is a typical symptom at reasonable doses. I know that I have never experienced blurred vision from coke.-DG

I get this any time I have taken amphetamine for any period for over 24h as consistent redosing can have users take in more raw stimulation as a result of chasing the euphoria. I learned this the long and spun way by realising slowly that d-amphetamine tends to have a ceiling effect at which point anything over (~75mg for me) will yield no increase in euphoria but instead only more physical stimulation and along with that comes an increased risk of blood pressure and heart rate abnormalities. If I haven't taken my hydrochlorithiaside that day for my already moderately high blood pressure I start to get these throbbing sensations where I could almost swear my carotid artery is pumping on the side of my neck and deep down and almost feeling like it is behind my ear. I always knew even in my more adventurous times with stimulants that this was a good indicator of my body screaming out that it needs a much deserved break.

While I have never been able to conclusively prove that there is a logarithmic scale in which taking 20mg is 10,000 times less likely than 100mg to cause sudden death via an arterial main-line aneurysm drug side-effects tend to compound more aggressively as the dose increases rather than the dangers being only 5 times greater at 5 times the dose.

Did you happen to get a deep throbbing/pulsating sensation deep in the muscles of your body? Or was it more akin to a pot-induced "Oh man! My Heart is beating way too fast...... Make it stop........ No not stop all the way! ON NO I'M DOOMED!"

it felt like i got a shot of the wrong blood type and my body was trying to reject it.

exactly
back in the day some guy gave my dad a tiny line ,
my dad thought cheap fuck
and that tiny line put him in the hospital 20 minutes later
they wanted to take blood but my dad was like this is elizabeth nj you aint putting no needles in me with aids and all
he got some valiums told the dr's and his boss it musta been a coffee mix up
and left

That sounds nothing like an aneurysm. A burst aneurysm would cause a bleed into your brain, causing severe headache, decreased consciousness and neurological symptoms (eg inability to talk properly or move your legs). I really wouldn't worry about that, if you had a burst aneurysm you would know about it!

cocaine withdrawal/aneurysm?

I have had experiences very similar to what you have described while under the influence of cocaine. I have a lot of anxiety, myself. If I am in a nervous state of mind when I do coke, even if that anxiety is only lingering in my subconscious, I will ultimately become extremely paranoid and begin hallucinating. In my experience, these effects rarely occur within the initial hours of cocaine use, but rather, in the withdrawal. I have experienced such hallucinations many times, and, thus, am now able to rationalize the situation while in that state of mind. Overall, I just want to assure you that it is common knowledge that hallucinations and paranoia are two very common side effects of cocaine use.

As far as your inquiry regarding a potential aneurysm-Patients actually experiencing brain aneurysms related to having a rupture often describe the experience as something akin to "the worst headache of their lives". Other ruptured cerebral aneurysm symptoms include:

Nausea and vomiting
Stiff neck or neck pain
Blurred vision or double vision
Pain above and behind the eye
Dilated pupils
Sensitivity to light
Loss of sensation

As far as any concern regarding an unruptured Cerebral Aneurysm- that is trickier to detect, as withdrawal symptoms of cocaine can be mistaken for this.
Symptoms include:

Peripheral vision deficits
Thinking or processing problems
Speech complications
Perceptual problems
Sudden changes in behavior
Loss of balance and coordination
Decreased concentration
Short-term memory difficulty
Fatigue

In my personal opinion, if you seldom use cocaine, you probably just mistook the withdrawal symptoms for an aneurysm.

Jeez, I'm only in my early twenties... I'd hate to sound like some sort of drug-veteran, although it's no lie that I am well-versed in the effects of cocaine... :/ Well! I hope that my input was helpful! :D

Same thing happened to me last night with speed. First time since I started. Shit was actually tooo good my usual 4hit starteing ceremonies were too much. I thought I was going to die, seriously. Fel like my skull was swelling with blood, I contemplated cutting the vein on the side of my head to relieve the pressure *dumb, I know. Sounds practical. Works for *sp* subdermal hematomas
