Cocaine liquor!?!?

Hey everyone! My friend told me the other day that he knows someone that took an ounce of coca leaves, ground them up, and let them sit in a bottle of liquor for a couple of days. After a couple of days they strained the coca leaves out and were supposedly left with a bottle of "cocaine liquor" that contained some extracted coke and obviously booze. Is this possible? Can you really extract coke or any other alkaloids using liquor in this method?? I was under the impression that it took a variety of different chemicals to extract the coke, but is it possible that this could work? I'm assuming that if it did work, it wouldn't yield as much coke as you would using traditional methods, but I am curious if anyone knows the answer.. Very interested in the chemistry of this but couldn't find any other discussions on this method.

Yes, you can extract the cocaine out of coca leaves with this method, but you extract a lot of other things too. It's not pure cocaine, it's more like coca wine.

Cocaine is extracted utilizing organic solvents and ethyl alcohol seems like it would work ok.

I've bought it in the markets in Colombia outside a church. It was offered to me to combat altitude sickness. It was mildly intoxicating but it did only cost me $3 for 500ml.

The best I've had was brewed by a friend at a doof. Two or three long sips and my face was numb and I was jibbering like an idiot. Nice drop to sit around a campfire and tell ghost stories.
