Cocaine Etiquette

Thanks for the advice....

I still have to stress though that these are REAL friends, again...time spent with family, doing things for thanksgiving, doing many things sans drugs. And, it's not a matter of leaving it laying around... I mean, shit, when SWIM and his friends do it, they have a pile on a plate, cut a few lines, and go right outside on the patio to smoke. SWIM would think he wouldn't need to be this leary around his friends but, as many of you have rightly pointed out, drugs can make folks shady. Blah.

I don't know...I know that if I were somewhere and getting free coke, especially from a friend, I wouldn't steal any. Shit, I don't even "dip into the bag" or "take a chunk for myself" when getting shit for other friends...just not me. Maybe I'm naive, or just stupid.

Drugs are bad mmmkay...

If I hit powder, no one would steal from me. I don't care how much they didn't want to come down. Hell, I could leave my shit in a room with people who are not my friends and they wouldn't steal from me. I guarantee you.

She doesnt' respect you.

If she is selling drugs to you and wants to hit it with you, she's being a bitch. Someone who respects you won't do this, or will at least turn the offer down until you demand it, unless she is selling to you at the price she is getting (which probably isn't true). Also, if she brings along her friends, she is a bitch.

Then she is stealing from you... Dude, this bitch is a fiend. I would go drop her off somewhere, and leave her ass. Seriously. And her friends. And you could give them the plant to take with them, because you don't really need a plant in the bathroom.

This is why I think cocaine is such a bad drug.

Couple things:

Yeah, I believe they are "true" friends. Cocaine, in particular, does weird things to people. Some will never, ever steal from friends when sober, but when they start to comedown game over. Other people won't steal ever. So maybe they do respect you, maybe they just don't respect themselves. Either way...

Something needs to be done. You can't let this continue. I can understand you not wanting to confront them openly, I myself avoid confrontation. But please do something. If you don't want to bring it up, the most obvious solution is to keep it in a bag that stays in your pocket. If you don't mind letting them do as much as they want at least make them ask for it.

As far as I'm concerned, hooking up a drug for somebody does not entitle you to blatantly steal it.

BTW, how is the sexual orientation of your "friend" relevant to this post? ;)

to the OP....

I've had 'friends' rip me off when it comes to coke.. I'm a fairly generous guy, I am. I'll typically pay for my cut of any drugs we're doing... or If someone else bought, I'll throw some money the guys way... and when I share my drugs with others.. it seems as if it is an unwritten rule that you get me high some other time.. I don't usually hold to it.. because really, I don't care enough. I wouldn't mind people throwing money my way to cover costs, but in my current situation it's pretty much money comes, money goes. I'm not a big fan of doing coke alone myself either.. and as I've been doing it a few times a day for the past few weeks (about an eight a week.. not too bad...) I've been going through a lot of it.. and meh. I don't associate with the people who steal from me. I don't so much mind a small pinch off the bag if you're hooking me up, or doing a line with me.. not at all.. but it's when you jack a few bags from me that I get pissed off. It takes a complete and utter disregard to respect for both you and I to steal from me, especially as nice of a guy as I am. (i.e. I've bought a quarter ounce before for me and I know I ended up not doing more than a gram to 1.5grams between me and four people.. if only because I'm a generous guy..) *shrugs*

I say confront them.. that or pull the dummy trick.. if only for comedic effect :P
 
I've pulled the dummy trick when my adderall started missing mysteriously. My roommate needed to study for tests and I put melatonin inside ( a sleep aid). Unfortunately he thought it was adderall and the placebo effect must have taken place. So to be sure, make it anthrax. That'll get em realll fucking high
 
Cocaine makes people crazy. I myself have taken from people when they weren't looking right after getting free stuff. I regret it now, and after I cleaned up I fessed upand payed them back for it. But basically, coke makes people into fiends, and they do incredibly irrational and often insulting things for it.

If it happened to me, damn right I'd bring it up. I'd just ask politely 'What happened to the coke? It seems like there's less there than there was before? Did some fall on the floor or something?' That way it'snot like I'm straight up accusing anyone, I'm asking if something accidental happened. If they act sketchy about it, I'd keep a much closer eye on them.

The real solution here is to not leave coke out. Only put out what you're immediately doing.

Yea , if it was me , id definatly confront , cuz like ungoliath said , if they rip you off every time u go away for a sec , there not ur friends , even if its coke ,, hold ur wad till ur friend gets back , like a smoke is all of 10 fucking minutes if that .. pretty damn sad if u cant wait that long between lines .
 
Ok, SWIM went in for $20, then was sure to keep doing double lines and double lines and then when one went to go "throw a load in the washer" was really trying to sniff the clothes clean.

Here's where it gets shitty. SWIM was too fucked up to drive home, and they were like, uhm, too bad, so he had to call a fucking cab, pay for it, and pay for the ride back to their place in the early am.

So, SWIM called them out....ended friendship. Funny the lengths some people will go to over shit in a baggie. SWIM is much better without the white powder in his life, and without shady bitches like that.

Thanks all for your thoughts/comments. And may people that lie/steal get bunk shit or get busted. Grrr...

it is your own fault for not seeing they have a drug problem and are not honest people and leaving your coke around them
 
^^true, i mean, why do any drugs with sketchy people and/or people you dont trust your stash around?

We had a lad doing this with speed. Me and a friend would buy a few grams of speed at a time, give everyone a line or two, and leave the bag on the table if we were going for a smoke outside as you figure you can trust your mates.

Can you bollocks. We came back in to the room one time to find the lad sticking his fingers in the bag and putting it in another bag for himself. Found out for some other friends that he'd stolen coke, weed and beer off them too, and on several occasions blamed it on me. I know he'd taken a four pack of mine too, as I'd left it in the fridge while I went to the pub. The only guy in the house apart from him was my best mate who is completely teetotal, yet he still blamed him. Arsehole.

Needless to say he got dropped quickly, though I guess it's different if one of the lasses is getting the gear, or at least helping :(
 
^^ Not really. Stealing gear isn't alright whether you're a girl or a guy. If I caught someone doing that I'd demand their wallet and take all the cash except pulic transit fare so they can get home and then kick them the fuck out of my house. You just can't let that shit slide because if you do it only encourages them to try it again.
