Cocaine : Can you keep it overnite.

A ready to hit rig of coke is left over night. Next day several dozen tiny nearly transparent particles are seen floating in the syringe. Thinking possible recrystalion, about 25% more water was added with no effect. A couple runs through cottons cleaned the soluton perfectly. Examination of the cottons showed no trace of the particles, however.
Any ideas about what these particles were or how to avoid them? Are they dangerious? All comments welcomed.
Sterile techniques and gear were used throughout, Saline for desolution. No heat.
 
Thanks for your response Ms Fairnymph. Is saline an issue for just coke or other substances also? I'm curious to understand why this might be the reason.
 
there really is no reason saline is any worse than distilled water for IV cocaine preparation.
 
In PhreeX's guide to IV he stated that saline was sanitary, whereas distilled water is not. I sense conflicting information. I doubt I'll ever IV, but I like to know what's up (and give friendly tips to those who do). So perhaps can someone resolve this debate?
 
Either you choose to use, it's not really going to make too much of a difference.
saline solution is water and sodium chloride .9 %
distilled water is water that's been filtered to remove impurities.
Either will be as sanitary as you choose to conduct your IV practices. Though, I prefer saline.
Saline, not distilled water, is the agent that is used to flush IV's and pick-lines in hospitals to keep them clear of medication between administrations. along with an anti-coagulant, like heparin. It's also closer to human bodily fluid than distilled water is.
