I'm a firm believer that if you can do something with less effort - then do it :)
Anyway's, I've been using speed/meth for study purpuses, but I was wondering if coke can be used as well.
I've never done coke, but I heard that it gives you confidence. Do you think it is a good idea to have a line of coke before an oral presentation? Anyone tried it before? What do you guys think?

In my experaince it wouldnt be a good idea to do either coke or speed for a presentation because yes it will give you confidence but you may well end up talking shite.
Also I would think that coke would be even worse because its quite subtle and you could end up hovering up a big line then making an arse of yourself.

I don't think having big drips in the middle of the oral presentation would reflect well. Not to mention you'll do the same presentation in 1/2 the time a normal one would. I can understand using it to study, but where you're the focus of attention its not the greatest idea!

i had to do a history oral presentation, and id been on speed the three days before trying to put it together ( it counts for a lot in grades)then the day of the presentation, i had like two lines of coke ( cause i was all out of speed :( )
and i started out really well, i was focused ( unlike speed where i have a kabillion thoughts desperatly seeking immediate attention) but i talked really fast ( i thought i was going ok, but it was taped, and when i heard it i was like " sweet mother of god!" ).
however i have come to the conclusion that coke does work better for an oral presentation, and speed better for a written exam.

Coke wears off way too fast to be the study aid that speed is. When I start doing lines I'm too busy grinding another or wiping my nose to study. Perhaps orally it would work, but still--(meth)amphetamine is much better as a "functional" stimulant.

I suggest watching Dennis Leary: No cure for cancer, that should give you a good idea of a speech done perfectly on coke sounds like....not a good idea.

that sounds like an terrible idea. you've never even done coke and you are asking if you should do it before a presentation????? you don't even know how you would react the first time. you would be rambling in front of your class, plus its not really good for concentrating at all. speed works much better for that. in my experience, which is plenty, coke is not good for studying either. you're not focused and you're too busy taking lines/smoking cigarettes to really study. speed makes you much, much more focused, and is a great study tool.

Thanks everyone. Luckily I haven't tried this, or I would make a total dick of myself!
This is what Bluelight is all about - Harm minimisation :)

better solution. eat 10mg valium or 1mg xanax 15 mins before your presentation.
will calm the nerves, let you speak at a nice relaxed pace....
tweak to study, benzo to present

I don't get it. When I'm on speed or coke, my attention span is usually too screwed up to even play a decent game of chess. How can people study on that crap?

chess = concentration on one subject
studying = devouring of loads of information, mulitple topics, subjects, etc....
make sense to anyone but me?

You want help with your public speaking?
Go to your doctor and ask about Inderal. Its a beta blocker and is used to help people with this problem. He will be happy to give it to you. I usually take a 30mg. dose 30 min. before a presentation and it works like a fuckin' charm!
