The two seem to run hand in hand like MDMA and depression. Anyone care to inform me how cocaine differs in its cardiovascular toxicity in comparison to something like an amphetamine?

Not sure it's fair to say mdma and depression go hand in hand. I say, if you're depressed, mdma snaps you out of it, and if you're fine, it'll make you depressed.

Cocaine is a sodium channel blocker so it interferes with cardiac conduction. in addition it is a potent vasoconstrictor.

While yes, cocaine is a sodium channel blocker unlike amphetamine, amphetamine is also strongly vasoconstrive via its DA and NE release. But cocaine seems to have a direct cytotoxic effect on the myocardial cells that I can not find a definitive answer as to why.

But most of the acute risk of arythemias or MI seem to be from its sodium channel effects and resulting abnormal conduction in cardiac nerves and abnormal activity from the AV and SA nodes.

Coke is a vasoconstrictor and increases the heart rate at the same time, and increases blood pressure. It can also cause arrythmia (SP) or irregular heart beat. I'm pretty sure that if you die from an overdose, its going to be a heart attack as a result of a cocaine overdose. So you could say that overuse of MDMA and depression (debatedly) go hand-in-hand, and the overuse of cocaine and heart problems go hand-in-hand.

I find that amphetamines fuck with my heart more than coke, but that's just me, not really scientific lol.

No, MDMA has never made me depressed. However ever since I started using cocaine, I've noticed almost immediate results on my physical capabilities. My endurance seems "sensitive" as if I'm going to break at any moment in the gym.

To be honest I think I might go back to amphetamines. This is scaring me quite a bit.

amps are cheaper, have longer duration, and are more reliable. some good coke is nice once in a while, but i try to use sparingly.
