I think it's great that YouTube has started airing festivals live on a regular basis. They're getting better each time, as far as the setup. This time, they give you the option to switch between the 3 main stages and you can see what's playing on each stage from the clickable mini-screens.

I like what I've seen so far, except for one. Cee Lo, who I really wanted to see, had to cut his set short because his plane got in late. You can check out his set here. It was a train wreck. Cee Lo was a little more than pissed.

I've caught a little today. Erykah Badu was great. Beautiful woman! I loved Mumford and Sons. Truthfully, I had never really listened to them before today. The Swell Season has a nice female vocalist. I just love watching these. If you can't actually BE at a music festival, the next best thing is watching it from afar. I hope they'll continue to do even more of these.

Been watching/listening all evening.
Pretty sure they did this with Bonnaroo last year as well

I remember because when I got home I was able to check out some of the shows I was at and the ones I didn't get a chance to make it to which was really awesome.

So yeah I agree it's very cool, hopefully they'll start doing it more.

They did do this with Bonnaroo last year. I watched a good chunk of it. I caught Arcade Fire before I went to sleep last night. They're another group that I had never really listened to before. They had a great live set. The lead male singer seemed so humbled by the experience. You could see how happy and grateful he was to be there.

Towards the end of the night, they had a bunch of giant white balls fall into the crowd and each ball had lights that changed color. Watching the overhead shots of the color-changing balls in the crowd was awesome. The crowd was having a great time throughout.

It really filled me with the need to go to a music festival this year.

^ You really should, but like theotherside said this is the next best thing
But yeah the Arcade Fire set was pretty good, they've been around a while good to see they get some headlining shows

I was watching earlier on channel 2 they were showing over head shots of the whole festival in between sets and somehow they had this filter where it kinda blurred the edges and made all the people look tiny, it was really cool. I don't think I explained it very well, you'd just have to see it for yourself

Kanye's on right now. He just takes himself too serious. Like he thinks he's a rap superhero. Maybe he'll prove me wrong and actually show he knows he's still human and not an avatar like Lady Gaga. Maybe he'll fart during Heartless, smile or something crazy like that
