They're "booked" every year, the same way Bowie and Radiohead are booked. 8)
Ill believe it when I see it on the actual line up poster.

It'd be awesome if they actually were booked though, and it makes me even more glad that I already have my ticket as they wont be around for long if they're actually on the line up.
 
I am new to southern california, but isn't it way too hot for an outdoor event with drugs and alcohol?

If I go I would love to meet up with some BLR's. *cue sad music* I have no friends down here.
 
It can get up to 105F during high noon, though the past year it wasnt all that hot at all (in fact there were rumors of rain!).

But because it's in the desert, it then drops down to 50-60F during the evening, and sits nicely in the 70's/80's during the sunset hours.

If you wear cool clothes, stay hydrated, and arent in the direct sun for all too long, you'll be fine.


Also, only two stages are in the direct sun. There are three tents, though if the tent is packed it can get pretty hot in there, even at night.

For drugs and alcohol, you just have to have your wits about you. Dont get plastered during the day, and dont get TOO plastered at night.


and the Do Lab is always there to cool folk down, and listen to some amazing artists while you're at it!
 
are you hinting to moderation? I am a BLR we don't do moderation LOL

Well if I can find some people to go with I will be there. I am at the 15/210 a bit of a drive but not too far.

i've been to about 6 coachellas and would love to go to another in april. if it ends up coming together, i'll drop you a pm.

i find that, generally speaking, the line up tends to always be excellent, the event is pretty well organised (given the challenge of organising an event attended by so many people) and, even at $300, the ticket is pretty good value.

This wait for the line up is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, I already have my ticket, so its not a biggie, but jesus h christ I want the line up nowwwwww!!!!!

I feel ya Thizz. This time of the year is the hardest for me, checking the board 5 times a day just to see that nothing new has been confirmed/announced :/

Maybe next week?
 
Daft Punk plays every year 8)
Though, if any, this year would be the year of their return to Coachella, so who knows.


@kyle: word, though the board is just as entertaining as it use to be. I miss it :P
Hopefully the line up does in fact drop next week, im literally dying over here! You know it's goin down when Dani changes the board layout...hopefully that's soon :(
 
Oh god, the line up should be out within the next 24hrs or so, as the board colors just changed to the beautiful new colors!

Golden Voice took all the buzz artists we, the festival goers, have been talking about for years and actually turned it into a reality. They sorta did this last year with Orbital and Plastikman, and now they do it with most of the artists on the line up.

I really couldnt be happier (well I mean, i could, if certain artists like Bonobo, Tipper, Bassnectar, and Eskmo were to join the line up as well, but a man can only ask for so much).

Really, im blown away.

Now to endure 86 of the longest days of my life! :(
