As i've stated before, i'm gonna get a pharmaceutical technician education, and i'm getting off drugs, so don't worry about that
Right, back to my question:

So let's say someone's going to a party, 30m before she takes 200mg tramadol due to back pain.
She's arrived at the party and takes 70mg valium and 6-8mg klonopin. Benzo tolerance
Then 30m later she takes 150-200mg codeine, first timer. Opiate naive
My question is, how long would it take for respiratory depression to start kicking in?

Remember, there is no alcohol involved in this

You really shouldn't be mixing opiates with anything if it's your first time doing it. There's no way for us to know your personal natural tolerance to them.

The respiratory depression sets in the minute the tramadol kicks in ~20-30 min.
Then the res. dep. gets kicked up a big notch once copious amounts of benzos are added to the tramadol...
tolerant or not..
and then the respiratory depression is sent sky high once the high dosage of codeine is ingested by
the opiate naive. It's one big night full of respiratory depression beginning w/the tramadol...and hopefully left
with breathing.

i'm not going to, i'm becoming a pharmaceutical technician, so i'm asking out of curiosity

no, there's no one that's gonna do it, it was just an example i set up to learn

^ aha. Well, as I said, it can be difficult to say as each persons tolerance is different, the only real way to know is from personal experience.

I also noticed a contradiction in the OP, you said that she was opiate naive with the codeine, yet she is taking tramadol regularly for back pain?

no no, you misunderstood me
the whole thing was just an example of a situation that could happen, i'm trying to learn
this is not about a certain person, just an example of a situation like i said

It's rather more important if you're opioid-naive than opiate-naive. And how can you be opioid-naive if you take 200mg tramadol constantly for back pain? There's some tolerance although it's a weak mu agonist/partial agonist and increased levels of 5-HT and NA are more responsible for its analgesic role.

read my post above
it was an example, there's no person, the person in this example, which is no one that is real, ain't done opiates or opioids before
it's all a big misunderstanding
