Clubs Vs Rave

I have never been to Rave(open atmosphere), i have always rolled in a Club, where house music is played. I kind a love rolling there because people are bit less Max-1800(Well it is not less though but in comparison lol). It is dark(my face gets really fucked while i am tripping, so it is plus point) and people are in the same zone , the music is loud and can be heard properly. I think in an open atmosphere the music will not be as loud as in the club and clear.
Where do you guys prefer open atmosphere events or in the club where house sort of music is being played ?

I personally love house so I roll at the club. But then again never been to an all out rave either except once in Chicago but it was pretty lame.

Its a very valid question you ask particularly when drugs are involved.

I have been to raves in USA and Europe. Also club events in both.

The raves I went to in the USA were in Miami. Also been to Burning Man Festival in Nevada.

I realise the USA is a big place however.

For me 50/50 both Clubs and Outdoor Raves present a unique experience I would recommend you try at least one open atmosphere event if you can.

If you fancie the travelling I would recommend the Boom Festival in Portugal or Burning Man in Nevada.

Boom Festival presents the most amazing natural backdrop of beauty. Has awesome electronic music and to add to the attractions they tollerate class A drugs openly for sale. At that event you feel very very free its liberating.

The Burning Man is another must see event. Great if you are looking for an open air gig experience. They have all genres there including loads of Electronic Stages/Camps.

Both of these events are a 'Must to do before you die'

Yes. Portugal sounds good. They have decriminalised all drugs there, although you can't pick them up in the supermarket or anything. When drugs are openly available, the quality goes up and now with Pillreports a quick logon to that site can check out your produce - although testing kit should be used also.

I always worry about medical attention at raves - if they are in the middle of nowhere and you are buying drugs from dealers there, the hospital could be far away....

Personally, I really like both. I live in Cali so we have a lot of raves and clubs especially in H-Wood. However, depending on what scene YOU are into, I would say clubs attract more people who get drunk rather than roll. So for me, I really like Raves because the environment and the people in it. Typically at clubs you won't find people on Acid and Ecstasy lol. I've met some of the nicest people at Raves, and there are a few I still keep in contact with. So for me, I'd choose a rave. Clubs are a lot less draining though.

i prefer raves only because when i roll i dont like to be around people who are drunk, and in the states the clubs cater to alcohol-type crowds

I'd go with a rave as well. The music, social, enviormental aspect is better for a roll, in my experience.

Burning man is not a place to just go rave, its a place to be a part of a community and help build. If you are looking to just go dance and have fun, Burning man is not ideal. It can be expensive and hard conditions and hard on the body, however, worth it if you are willing to work for it.

If Im not at Burning man, I prefer live music festivals for "raving". I like raving to bands playing all night myself. My favorite setting is a music festival that has late nite music and camping in the woods. Then you dont have to drive and you can spend the sunrise with nice people doing fun things.
