clothing question for the fitness-minded folks out there

Hey everyone,

So, as I have improved my fitness and physique lately, I have improved my measurement ratios. As a consequence, I cannot find comfortable shorts. I like to wear cargo shorts and cargo pants with two main pockets and the two lower Velcro or button pockets.

But, with a 30 inch waits and 22 inch thighs, I cannot find any that are comfortable.

Why do clothing makers assume all guys with 30 inch waists are super skinny? I would say my thighs are slightly above average for a guy my size, but not so much that finding comfortable pants is impossible. Yet all 30 inch pants and shorts (the few I can even find in the store) are VERY tight in the thigh and pretty much crush my balls too.

I need a recommendation for some brands or cuts of pants and shorts that are small in the waits but roomy in the thigh.

Any ideas?

Emerica pants and RVCA pants all have like 2% spandex built into them....

Odd. All the cargo shorts I own, which is most of my shorts, are styled quite baggy. Maybe try buying a 32 and cinching them with a belt?

^ this or you could look into shorts made by skateboarding companies. They need loose thighs since they're always crouching and such

^ Sonoma's not a local brand unless you're around WNY. :P They're actually pretty awesome for socks and shirts--Was unaware they made cargo shorts... I'm going to have to look into this, lol.

i am thin and have very muscular legs, and cant wear tight pants.

i usually train in pants with extra stitching in the crotch area so i can kick to head level unrestricted, do a split, etc.

theyre not displaying the crotch stitching, but the brand Ultra Force makes badass cargo pants that can withstand years of grueling training, outdoors sort of things, and provides full range of motion of the legs unrestricted. ppl often ask me why im "stuck in the 90s" with my cargo pants all the time, i usually say "cuz i cant kick you in the face wearing skinny jeans."

im not sure what that kind of stitching is, but its the sort youd find on some US Army BDU pants. there is a wearhouse i go to near me that sells tons of cargo pants like that. waist size is irrelevant, the extra stitching around the groin makes room for any type of thigh movement.

a karate "gi" has the same stitching in the crotch area:

rm-rf, that top pair looks great. I'll have to find a pair. Do you know which stores might carry those?
