Yes it is a benzodiazepine. Yes you can mix it with alprazolam (Xanax). It would probably be wise if you didn't mix benzodiazepines.

Not as potent. Milligram to milligram 0.5 milligrams of alprazolam/clonazepam is about the same as 15 milligrams of clorazepate. I would estimate it to be similar but slightly more potent to chlorodiazepoxide.
