I have been prescribed 1mg x 3 a day for 3 months after several severe traumas in my life. I've also llike to say i have struggled with anxiety my entire life without any help and the meds made me able to live again. Then I moved to Royal oak MI and got a new family doctor. A DO. While I love and connect with her she immediately decreased by prescription from 90 to 60 a month on our very first visit. I dealt with the WD thinking she had my best interest at heart. Then after another 6 more months of 60 per month she told me it was my last month and was calling it in that day. 2 days passed and she didn't call them in so I called the pharmacy and then the emergency line. After so long I was having cold sweats, rebound anxiety and just felt so off. I sent her a message on the patient portal 5 hours before I called their emergency line. They gave me enough to get through to talk to her again. I was so out of my body and anxious with bad weather I slid into a fire hydrant on the way to the pharmacy.

I'm looking for a way to find a prescriber that will take my needs into consideration and not just let me go through severe withdrawals and considering going to the ER.

I live in Detroit and am on MI Medicaid any help would be greatly appreciated as I NEVER want to go through that again.

I’m sorry that the doctor treated you like this. Have you ever tried Kava Kava before? It is a Polynesian herb root that has GABAergic effects and can help with anxiety along with withdrawal from alcohol and benzos alike. Only use the whole ground root not the chemical extracts.
