So, yeah, the title pretty much states my problem. I've been taking clonidine for sleep 3-4 times a week for a couple months (increasingly more often, but never more than a mcg at a time). Recently, maybe 2 weeks ago, I started to notice that I was taking a piss like 10 times a day. It got worse before I was smart enough to realize it could be the clonidine & googled it. So, needless to say, I stopped taking it! I took my last dose on Thursday last week (posting this Tuesday 3/29) and I've pissed 6 times today before 11. Probably 25 times yesterday. I get the feeling like I have to go SO bad, then I take a pee and it's only like 15-20% of what would normally come out. Sometimes right after I get outta the bathroom and sit down, I have to pee again! It's the worst.
My questions are: has anyone ever had this problem?
AND if so, how long after you stopped did you cease to have the problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated, if for peace of mind than nothing else.
Oh yeah, and if you're curious I've had this script leftover from opiate detox. I always thought they worked well for sleep. My psych doctor knows I take it for sleep sometimes and he's fine with it.
Some extensive pressing of the spacebar at 'the google' led me to believe this is probably rebound hypertension made WORSE by stopping it. Whoops!
My second question is still on my mind as i walk back and forth to the bathroom. In case you forgot, the second question was- how long will this horrible rebound hypertension last? My guess is that it would be gone soon but does anyone have any actual experience with this?
gracias
