Benzos clonazepam

it is used as a sleeping aid in lowish doses.

Just as some backup, I was prescribed Trazodone as a sleep aid a few years ago. Nothing was really working, so I was willing to try.
Even at a lowish dosage, it put me to sleep. The problem was it was almost immediate, extreme sedation after the first sign of onset, and getting up in the morning was a problem. As in, it didn't happen. If I did manage to get out of bed, I was completely useless. Easily my most unpleasant experience trying out a script. Felt like a anti-psychotic.

Trazodone (also sold under the brand names Desyrel, Oleptro, Beneficat, Deprax, Desirel, Molipaxin, Thombran, Trazorel, Trialodine, Trittico, and Mesyrel) is an antidepressant of the serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor (SARI) class. It is a phenylpiperazine compound. Trazodone also has anxiolytic and hypnotic effects.[1] Trazodone has considerably less prominent anticholinergic (dry mouth, constipation, tachycardia) and sexual side effects than most of the tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs).

From wikipedia, states nothing about it being used for insomnia

^What's your purpose, quoting Wikipedia? I'm just wondering. I didn't imagine it. Nor did a couple other persons I know that were prescribed.

@HdoubleODeezy - I should have read your initial post. IME, all I've ever heard about, and experienced myself with this drug has sounded and been horrific.
Was just surprised to see someone post that it worked well for them. Under everybody's different, I suppose.

it doesnt?

and BTW if you would have looked at my post closer i have wiki quoted..no need for you to post the same thing, but the funny thing is though, the thing you posted to prove me wrong actually proves me right.

oh and in case it isn't clear enough for you, i made the important part bold and underlined.

and if you would have read the wiki article you would have read this

R We still chatting about klonopin?

I can get the .5 mg or 2 mg rivotril (clonazepam) I'm after a benzo with decent legs. Also i'm after a benzo that is strictly for medicinal purposes only & isnt tempting to abuse.

I've tried lorazepam, nitrazepam, diazepam & temazepam. Diazepam is the only one i've ever been able (with the slight exception of nitraz) to use 'as needed' & not be tempted to try & use for a buzz or leave alone for days/weeks straight even when it's right there in a drawer.

For sleep, xanax and Halcion put me out hard and fast. Klonopin and valium are still good but not a knockout blow for me. It's all subjective though.

I use my nitrzepam which were only perscribed this month as needed without the slightest thought of abusing them, they give me no sedation feeling and truly help with my anxeity, i take one in the morning and im good for the day, they are a god send. Lorazepam = i got 7 on friday as a tester and get this for a sleep aid from the quack took 1 then 2 that night then the rest went in the bin, they made me fell numb not sleepy. Diazepam i find for me has massive abuse potential, i could eat 80mg too easily! As for the clonzepam i had only just got my nitraz when i made this thread as far as im concerned 1 nitraz a day works perfect for my anxiety just working on a sleep aid now. Cant do shit til (just had deja-vu lol) monday now anyway, got few options this trazadone sounds like it may help. Lets see. Open to any other suggestions.

Hey. I wanna get switched from 3mg of xanax to kpins. I usually trade my xanax to kpins from a friend who likes xanax better (I guess there good to get high but not as good for anxiety as kpins)

What is the equivalant dose roughly??

what kind of felling does clonzepam give you anyway, does it sedate it any way at all or not ?

sedating, yes. relieves anxiety. Sometimes relaxes the body when combined with cannabis. Helps you black out with alcohol very quickly. Social phobias, PTS, anger management, etc etc.

It's not going to give you a nod, but I've taken high amounts of klonopin in combination with hard alcohol and cannabis and had very similar "nods" to that of opiates, just sloppier.

~Tx for the info, only reason i asked is because its an anxiolytic/anticonvulsant, im yet to find a benzo with these characteristics produe any form of sedation.

BTW I dont drink :p

Clonazepam is really good. For medical purposes and recreational. Compared to xanax and ativan it dont kick in as fast at all but lasts long so you dont have to redose as much. It was awesome for weed smoking, when the bud was different or too trippy like no anxiety or nervousness but comming off it is another story.

A little, but within therapeutic dosages, not noticeably (at least for me). It's mainly an anxiolytic and a muscle relaxant I feel, or those are the principal effects I can distinguish when taking 0,5-2mg. It is slightly sedating/hypnotic in that if you lie down, it may help you fall asleep, but I certainly didn't notice sedation as I carried out my activities (as I would with equivalent doses of, say, temazepam or nitrazepam). At higher doses, or combined with any amount of alcohol or other downer, and it instantly becomes quite sedating.

It'll do the trick in a pinch if it's all you've got and you absolutely demand sedation, but other benzos are far better for that purpose. Clonazepam is best used for combating anxiety, and outside of medical use, I'd say it works best as a social lubricant. But you shouldn't be using benzos for that, as I'm sure you know anyway.

Clonazepam is a long acting benzo/anti-convulsive. See you mentioned dope. The majority of 'heroin od's' are actually caused by people using heroin along with a benzo or barbituate or alcohol. They are all depressants and when combined greatly increase your risk of respiratory failure so tread very carefully if you begin having thoughts of not doing an either or but ever consider using more than one of these substances at the same time!
