The active ingredients in strocit plus are piracetam and citicoline.
Both should enhance cognitive function.

I'm sorry but can you make your post more readable. I could barley get through your text.

What was your starting dosage?

bro 6 years back when i was put on benzo that is libotryp which has chlorodiopoxide and amitryiptiline.in the sixth year when i was on it it started giving me withdrawals.my doc put me on taper.last year when my taper started i was put on clonaz 0.5 in the morning and amitryiptiline and 0.5 clonaz at night..my doc was slowly tapering my dose and two months back i came down to 0.25 but when i came on this dose the withdrawals were untolerable and weird.now 2days back my doc told me to increase my dose and i have started 0.375 now.he also suggested me to add an ssri but i have not started it yet...kindly advise me how can i come off this drug..i am in no hurry

Your doctor would be the best person to advise you how to taper from clonazepam. So if the dosage of .25 was not enough to hold you, he increased to .375 right? If you don't want to take the other medication he suggested, you really should let him know.

EDIT: Jaidep I went ahead and merged your threads together

What if some of these symptoms are cause by ami WDs ? Have you discussed this with your doc?

I have experienced Xanax withdrawal once, and that was only after about 2 weeks of .05mg to 1mg nightly doses. I got extreme rebound anxiety and could not imagine what horror it would be to go through a real long-term habit's withdrawal. I have vowed never to get addicted to them since that day.

Good luck to you jaideep. It sounds horrible man, especially when the duration of your suffering is taken into account.

The homeopathic medication will not do jack all besides placebo, if you are lucky. Pretty much worthless and a scam.

Like the other posters have said, look for herbal remedies that may have some low level GABA action, like Valerian Root, Chamomile Tea, etc. Maybe you could try some stronger, but more addictive stuff...obviously this is just to lessen your suffering and I am not a medical professional by any means. I am just putting some ideas out there to help you with the bigger picture of getting off these pills. Have you looked into something like Kava Kava or Phenibut? Phenibut is a stronger GABA-A agonist, it may provide relief, it probably won't though, as benzos are strong meds.

Have you looked into maybe attempting to mask the symptoms (besides bloody SSRI and other anti-depressants, they would make this situation worse IMO). I am talking more about the likes of maybe Marijuana, Kratom. Maybe a little bit of Alcohol for GABA stimulation and to take the edge off?

I feel ya man and good luck. Also, is the way that you are typing a result of the pain you are in and the effort it takes to type things up through withdrawal proving too hard?

hi bro.yups the withdrawals r very bad and weird.i am ryt now on clonaz .375 but having alot of withdrawals ffom the last 2 months.i have consulted another doc.he suggested me that sometimes there r some chemicals in the brain which are missing so if the medicine on which i was before suited me then why dont i start it again but bro i know that its been more than a year i am tapering and i have managed to reduce it till here.i have to be strong to overcome it as it is not easy.i am not taking any other med for the withdrawals.

hi bro...just let me know that the drug i am on clonaz .375 and the drug which i was before libotryp that has chlorodipoxide and amitryiptiline what is the difference in both the drugs and also the dosage that is .375 is it low as compared to libotryp...

Hi Jaideep,

Clonaz is a Benzodiazepine, along with things like Diazepam, these drugs have and are used to treat anxiety, insomnia and other conditions. However they can be problematic when used for long periods due to building tolerance, withdrawing from them needs to be managed carefully due to the way they effect receptors in the brain, hence the need to taper.

The other drugs you mention are often referred to as Antidepressants, although this covers a wide range of medication, Amitriptyline ( which I currently take ) is a tricyclic, these drugs effect other receptors in the brain in a different way. They don't have the same issues as benzodiazepines but take a number of weeks of use to produce any benefit and should not be ceased suddenly to avoid problems.

I'm not recommending either, the treatment of depression is a complex area, there is no 'cure' and what works for one person may not work for another.

Can you be more specific about the symptoms you believe you are suffering as a result of the reduced Clonaz dose, it seems more likely that these symptoms are as a result of your ongoing depression.

Clonaz is a benzo.
Chlordizepoxide is a benzo.
Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant.
Libotryp contains chlordiazepoxide + amitriptyline.
Basically clonaz is for anxiety, and libotryp is for anxiety and depression.
Were you depressed while on 1mg clonaz?

hi bro.no on 1 mg i was not at all depressed but was very comfortable on that dose.since i am reducing the dose and 2mnths back i came down to 0.375 but since then i am feeling very low and weird things which i cannot explain r happening memory loss and feel lyk crying..i am so confused now that what i shud do..i get al d bad feelings.i just want to know that if i increase my clonaz dose vil i be on a lesser dose or more dose than libotryp which i was before or do i need to start libotryp.i am so restless bro..

If you were stable and happy on the 1mg Clonaz dose what was the reason for the tapering dose ?

How long ago did you start taking the Clonaz and for what reason?

IME drugs don't cure anxiety or depression they just dumb down the symptoms and make them more easy to live with, sometimes this allows people to make positive changes in their lives and genuinely reduce the symptoms of their condition.

I have tapered off of daily diazepam and have a great deal of sympathy for your suffering at this time, I hope things begin to get better for you soon.

hi bro.i was taking libotryp for 6 yrs.in the 6th year i started having withdrawals.the doc told me to taper libotryp by starting clonaz 0.5 in the morning 0.5 at nyt and amitriptiline in the morning.den i stopped amitriptiline.den my taper was goin fyn.but 2 months back when i came to 0.375 dose only at this point the withdrawals became worse and untolerable.i want to ask u that if i come back to 0.5 clonaz dose and stay on it for a year or more is it fyn.and also is the clonaz 0.5 dose less than libotryp which i was taking before.plz elaborate and explain.thanks bro
