hey,
i got prescribed clonazepam about two weeks ago for epilepsy/tremors/muscle spasms/insomnia and it seemed effective, but i've had a pretty shitty run these last couple of years (recently: couldn't go party in europe with my friends because of the aforementioned problems, lost my job because i had to get shoulder surgery, still have to pay rent even though i have no income, etc.) so i binged on the clonazepam a few times. i'm not sure how many times i did this in the two week period, maybe four or five times, probably more than i can remember, but the maximum dosage i was taking was probably like 4mg a day compared to my prescribed 0.5mg. well anyway, i found out that this doesn't really do anything or get you high (was very pleasant the first time i took it though and smoked a bowl). i stopped taking it at all for one day and now i'm back to just taking 0.5-1mg once at night (seems a little low considering my problems, but he said he wanted to build the dosage as gradually as possible which is understandable, but i've been fucking around with doctors for three years trying to get this shit under control so i can live my life).

so my question is, would the few times i abused it be enough to ruin my tolerance to the point where 0.5-1mg would be completely ineffective? i took one a few nights ago and still couldn't sleep. the tremors appear to be coming back slowly. muscle spasms slightly worsening. so is this a matter of tolerance being too high now or am i just at an incorrect dose for my problems? it's hard to tell how well it was working before i started bingeing because i was smoking a lot of weed at the time as well which also helped a lot. i dunno. any suggestions?

I doubt it's tolerance, probably just the dose being fairly ineffectual. Make sure when you see your doctor again you tell him that the current dose is holding you.

And don't abuse them again or you will have tolerance problems and you don't want that if you depend on this medication.
