Bluelighter
Hi everyone. I just have a quick question that maybe a bluelighter that's experienced with this would know/be able to answer.
I've been on clonazepam since september. 1mg per day, split into 0.5mg twice daily. Once in the morning (8am - 10am roughly), once in the evening (around 6pm or so). I had a recent panic attack a few weeks ago and I ended up taking more than I should have in order to calm me down and kill the paranoia. I realized that this would make me short before my refill. I visited a walk-in clinic doctor and explained to him what happened and that I would be short, so he gave me a script for a little bit more - but not enough to actually cover me until my refill. So withdrawal is inevitable. I've started to taper myself yesterday. I completely halved my 1mg dose without complications (took 0.25mg twice daily).
Yesterday I took my last dose of 0.25mg around 6pm. I woke up at 10am today with me sweating, and a pain in my chest that was gradually getting worse. So I took 0.25mg again. It's 11am now, and I'm feeling better, the pain is gone.
The main question I have is that since i have such a small amount left, would it be smart to cut the dose in half again? So taking 0.125mg around 6pm instead of 0.25mg. My main concern is that I have a job interview tomorrow at 2:30pm, and I cannot be in withdrawal.
Is this taper too fast? Or would I manage from here with 0.125mg doses (which means I'll have 6 doses left) without any hardcore withdrawal? Feeling a little sick (e.g. a cold and not that extreme flu-sick feeling) is what I can deal with tomorrow. I just don't wanna fuck this up today and have to end up taking my last 0.5mg pill tomorrow in order to stay out of withdrawal, because that would mess up my taper.
Sorry this post is kinda all over the place.
tl;dr: 1mg per day, yesterday dropped to 0.5g per day, took 0.25mg today, debating on taking 0.125mg for 2nd dose today. Is this decrease too fast?
Any input is appreciated, thanks.
