Clonazepam Questions

I got my prescription a while ago (0.5 mg per pill). And, I know it's stupid, but I did 14 and got a really nice buzz.

I tried it again tonight and I got nothing, no drowsiness even! I took 10 2 hours later and nothing!

Should I just lay off of it until tomorrow or the next day?

I also want to add that I smoke, will that affect it?

Smoking cigarettes is said to slightly lower the effects of benzos.

I find benzos the be a hard drug to do a couple of days in a row and still get a buzz. Yes, you should take some time off. Clonazepam has a long half-life, so you were technically adding to your initial dose, but past a certain mg, it all kinda feels the same IMO.

Yea im prescribed the .5 mg's clonazepam(klonopin) too and after I was taking my prescribed dose for like 2 days....it wasn't doing anything to me anymore.....so I would save up my daily doses for like 3 days and then take like 9 or so pills at once and it got me kind of high.....but ever since that first time I CANNOT GET HIGH off of clonazepam even if I do like 12-15 pills.

I have noticed that if I wait ATLEAST a week between dosages I can feel MUCH more of an effect when I finally do take them.

Its simply just your tolerance to benzos skyrocketing because your using on a daily basis(sometimes even if that is only like 2-3 days).....Its rediculous how easily your body becomes tolerant to this class of drugs.....I hate it......and my doc wont even think about raising my dosage level because that makes me look like a druggie trying to score some pills.....which is what I USED to be, but I really am only taking benzo's for anxiety and insomnia.

.....oh!....woe is me!!...my past will never leave me !!

.5's are a very low dose of Klonopin. However, still effective. You will find as your body adjusts to the dosage that the more benzos you take the less of a downer they become. They will [in most cases] act as an upper and make you feel more speedy or nothing at all.
Once your tolerance shifts which takes about two to four weeks you may want to ask for an increase to 1mg
Benzos are a very difficult and long withdrawl. They have a half life of 30-40 hours and stay in your system up to 28 days give or take according to fatty tissue and liver function, especiallt hepactic antibodies

Do not take more. Space them out as you will only be wasting them. The best way to take them is to dissolve them under your tongue as opossed to swallowing whole or chewing. They have a sweet taste unlike most benzos making it very easy to take too many.
Benzos = yum
Hope that helps

Now see, when I take my pins .. I never really have to wait. The high I get from them is mostly apathy and relaxation. I take them for anxiety, but here and there I'll pop some extra to let loose. I usually forget the next day or when I wake up what I've done, but that's the fun in it ;D

Clonazepam for a lot of people including myself really isn't much fun, it's really useful for anxiety though. It's very long lasting, as in, it's real slow to come on and real slow for the effects to subside.

I've also been prescribed Clonazepam in the past and would usually pop 6mgs as soon as I got my bottle and chill out, it would definitely feel nice but nothing earth shattering. The problem is here that the buzz is "good" at best, and with each successive day of use the buzz becomes less and less pronounced. This is bad both because you want to get high, and because this can lead to some pretty irresponsible repeat dosing, which in turn may very well lead to some fucked up antics on your end. I smoke too, and information I've read does indicate that smoking cigs while on benzos may lessen the effects, but I've never really found it to be that noticeable. You're not gonna smoke a cig and the all of the sudden be sober know what I mean.

If you're trying to get a buzz I would say space your dosages out over days. Take a couple days off in between as the Clonazepam is still effecting you long after you think it's stopped, it's got a gargantuan half-life. Be careful with those though, for an individual with no tolerance, those dosages are pretty high, and you do not want to black out.

I've been on clonazepam off and on for about a year. I just switched back to alprazolam. I have been on one mg each with a max of 5 tabs a day. I found that my tolerance to the clonazepam increased so dramatically. I could take 3 without any relief. Plus they suck for panic attacks 'cause it would take at least 40 minutes to kick in. And while they're supposed to work for up to 9 hours, I get anxiety again hours before.

I will admit on bad days I would take more xanax at one time to try and numb myself or just sleep. But then I'll have other days where I don't use them at all. I know it's supposed to be temporary treatment, but I can't stop just yet. I feel very much so that I still need this medication. I used to think severely depressed was horrible (which it is of course), but anxiety and panic attacks are frightening enough that I take great comfort in knowing I have a fast acting escape.
