Hi,

Does anyone have experience from using clonazepam for phenibut withdrawal? I am currently using about 3 g of phenibut daily, and have done so for two months now, but it has no effect on my SAD anymore, so I am planning on tapering down by 100 mg a day to about 300 mg and then jump off. I got hold of some clonazepam and I wonder if they would help with the expected withdrawals. I have been addicted to alcohol an opiates in the past so I am familiar with their withdrawals, but I have read many horror stories about phenibut wd. Grateful if anyone would share if they have experience from using clonazepam/benzos for phenibut wd.

"Biochemical data showed that repeated administration of NS-105 (Fasoracetam) increased the number of GABA(B) receptors in rat cerebral cortex without affecting the binding properties of beta-adrenoceptors and 5-HT2 receptors. In contrast to other antidepressants, NS-105 did not inhibit monoamine uptake in vitro, nor did it change monoamine concentrations in brain tissues or extracellular fluids. These findings suggest that NS-105, which lacks an effect on monoaminergic systems, has potent antidepressant activity, which may involve up-regulation of GABA(B) receptors after repeated administration."

In theory... Fasoracetam may reverse phenibut/baclofen/GHB/GBL tolerance, and its withdrawal could be the opposite of the aforementioned chemicals. This means fasoracetam will not be acutely anxiolytic but will likely induce anxiolysis with long-term administration.

I'm on my phone but I'm pretty sure this is what he was referencing.

Thanks guys. But I'm more intersted in clonazepams/benzos effects on acute phenibut wd.

Maybe phenibut for clonazepam withdrawals but otherwise you are just substituting phenibut for something heavier. I vote no. Just taper and ride it out.
