Benzos Clonazepam as prescribed, Etiz & Flubro as occasional alternative?

I have what isn't a unique case but the questions I want to ask are somewhat specific so I did UTFSE and didn't come up with much.

I take 3-mg/day clonazepam, either as 1.5 in the AM and 1.5 in the PM or 3-mg at once in the mid-evening. It seems to not matter, unless I'm having a very stressful day a tab under the tongue will give me relief within a half hour to an hour (too long for me). My doc prefers either clonazepam or sustained release alprazolam. My preference would be to have 10 - 30 2-mg Xanax for panic episodes, 10 would probably be enough and my clonazepam daily dosage) I've been taking K-pins at 2 - 4-md/day for over a decade.

My question: I have recently acquired and prepared separate 1-mg/mL solutions of etizolam and Flubro in ethanol (95% - everclear - never use de-natured alcohol for this...) I'm way over 21 and find ethanol as convenient as PG but a little more dangerous to work with, it's highly flammable, evaporates quickly, requires a very tight bottle cap, etc... but works well for me. A needless 3-mL rig provides accurate, if burning oral dosing - I don't put anything else in the solution I measure out into a shot glass b/f I take it (up to 9-mL of 190 proof EtOH) b/c I don't want the etiz/Flub to crash out of solution b/f I swallow it.

I do not take multiple benzos in a day, ever. I take as much of a break as I can safely, about once, twice a month.

I don't take my clonazepam if I am going to take etiz or Flubro the same day (with Flubro I can skip two full days of K-pins - helping me build quite a stash I may well need someday).

This morning I woke up feeling anxious, typical for me with the bupropion I take an hour b/f getting out of bed (that's seasonal, only for SAD). I took about 6-mg etiz today. To my pleasant surprise I felt the calming effects within a half hour. I find the same is true with Flubro (the 7- variety, the "real" stuff), I take it - around 12 mgs and feel an effect I do not get with K-pins start in 1.5 - 2 hours that lasts - a very long time. Very, very nice stuff. Different effects from each of the two RCs, I like that.

Right now I can pick:

1. full day normal levels of anxiety with K-pins,
2. a more pleasant but less clear headed (not for work days) one and a half to two days relief with Flubro or
3. near instant xanax style relief with a fairly quick elimination of effects with etiz.

I do not drink alcohol.

Does anyone else find that switching up benzos (at reasonable, therapeutic doses) gives you noticeable effects from your non-maintenance benzo - if so what are the ones you use, how and what do you benefit from? I won't raise doses if this fades, as I expect it will soon. But maybe by keeping doses as low as possible I can avoid the fading of the effects a bit? I need benzos. I've been dependent on heroin in the past, that was bad, I read benzo w/ds are horrific - there's no comparison except they're both w/ds., benzo 1000x worse than heroin?

I was afraid my tolerance to K-pins would eliminate all effects from "normal" doses of RC benzos. I have not tried diclaz (seems too much $ for the bang, but may get some for future tapers since people compare it to diazepam), descholor-etiz, pyrolazam (sp?), phenaz and an older one "Clon..." something but not K-pin, nor chlorazepate, name is similar to clonazepam. Have not tried any of those.

Would I find anything useful from Phenazepam? I can get that cheap, in bulk as professional tabs. But I hear it's blackout abuse and terrible detox in a box. Any use for it in a professional setting or will I loose clients if I take a phenaz b/f a nerve wracking meeting when I can't do my CBT exercises b/f hand?

Thanks B-lighters, hope you're all well. Take care.

6-Would I find anything useful from Phenazepam?.

I'm not an expert at all on ''RC'' benzos available from the net but I do have an extended experience with conventional ones... I was prescribed Xanax, up to 6 mg a day for years in my thirties (I'm in my late forties now), and already had been using various kinds in pretty vast amounts since my early teen years. I'm completely free of benzos since 2007, but the price of that freedom was exceedingly high... It took 2 years of a very slow valium taper to stop taking benzos, then almost two more years afterwards to feel normal again...

I picked up a few sentences from your post and numbered them to briefly comment... My intention is not to be sarcastic or unpleasant, but I'll be blunt nonetheless. Overall, I do understand your predicament - an understanding preventing me from trying to make any fun of you.

1- If this is accurate, you're locked up for a long time in a maximum-security benzo jail from which there's absolutely no easy way out. You know about your dependency of course but do you really understand how deep in shit you are? Since you don't sound overly concerned about your situation, I entertain some doubts.

2, 3 & 4- These are completely futile measures to maximize the effects of your drugs or to try and lower your tolerance; in the end - which will come fairly quick - you'll only need more of a potent one, such as clonazepam, that lasts a long time or still more of a still more powerful one like alprazolam to be barely functional. Whatever you do, playing with various benzos' potencies and half-lives will get you nowhere good anytime soon.

After a surprisingly short while, the only benefit one can derive from ANY benzo is, basically, avoidance of wd symptoms. In order to control anxiety, the dose has to be raised or the molecule changed for a more potent one. In fact, there is strong evidence to suggest that over time, the very effects of benzodiazepines compromise the brain's capacity to adapt to situations, solve issues and cope with stress: in other words, the more benzos you take, the less fit you'll be to deal with life WITH OR WITHOUT benzos.

5- I have first-hand experience of both kinds of wd. While opiate wd can be very painful and long, benzo wd can also be downright dangerous and never, never, never, never, and I mean never ending. Yes, both can be hells, but a benzo hell is distinctively hotter if only because it lasts forever when your dependency is strong. Sincerely my friend, I'd rather go through THREE acute oxy withdrawals in a row than one more fuckin bitch of a benzo tapering ordeal.

6- If you do, it won't last long.

Basically, you have only two real choices:

First, you choose to stay on benzos indefinitely, even until death. This way, you avoid most wd symptoms most of the time (but not all the time); and more and more you lose your cognitive faculties, you forget more and more important shit, you miss an increasing number of golden opportunities, you fuck up more important events in your life, etc. Moreover (if statistical evidence is to be believed) you will die much sooner and in poorer health that folks who never were addicted to benzos.

Second, you choose to do a valium taper to break free from benzo jail. It's no fun, but it IS manageable when adjusted to your pace of recovery (some folks take more than 5 years...).

Only you can choose your path. I wish you the best of luck.

Yea I am in a similar (actually worse) situation than you with benzos right now and idk if you just didn't want to show it but I AM SCARED AS FUCK. I stopped breaking all other laws just to assure that I don't end up going through w/d where im at, which is a third of where my habit was 2 months ago (too quick a taper, I know but a choice is not always something granted to you if you act foolish; and I did.) The problem for me is I actually do need some kind of benzodiazepine as I have agoraphobia amongst extreme panic attacks and insomnia so quitting them is not really an option. I tell you what though I wish I never would have played around with my script at all now I am slowly paying the fiddler. IF I were you I would stock up on the Flubro as much as possible and use that to taper slowly, maybe even try and get your doc to switch you to valium but clonazepam is pretty long acting so I wouldn't worry about it. In fact Flubro is something I may well invest in to assure things go smoothly for me. BTW Phenazepam is a horrible idea, I ordered it once (and I have played with nbomes in powder form as well as other things when they were legal that required mg dosing) and I guess I spilled a half g of h (super rare where I live) tried to inject into my neck (no reason at all my veins are damn near mint if not mint) and all kinds of insane shit. Somehow I ended up with 700 bucks and a sheet of nbome after the whole thing so a lot happier ending than most but the thought of injecting into my neck not pretty.

The first reply "Longhaulker" - I really, really appreciate your honest in-my-face answer. I need it. I am not as scared as I should be. I wish I could quit for four days like I did with dope back when I was tremendously dependent on it to just to feel what the full benzo w/ds are like. But it seems as if full w/ds with benzos cannot be appreciated without a long time into it (weeks at first, extending to years it seems and I DO take this extremely seriously). Probably time to stop with RC and go to diazepam. Esp., of it'll cover my anxiety issues. But it won't happen this week...

Second poster, Flubro, some is on the way. I will acquire as much as possible for tapering in time. I'll be giving my powders to a very long time friend (25 + years) who knows of my addictions, that person will hold it and will not give in to me if I show up begging, puking, smelling like shit, etc... unless enough time has passed for him to give it to me (I tell him how long). Otherwise it's go beg at the ER or go to my psych hat in hand. I have too good a career, thankfully I am my boss, but I still have to be able to work a good 40 - 50 hours a week. So I can only afford one long abstinence over any three year period or I may loose clients.

Thank you both. I have what I need. If anyone else wished to comment please do.

Thank you!!!

I am prescribed 1 mg of clonazepam by my doc I have been on these now over 1 year the problem is although these work for my problem RSL which still works I am unable to sleep at night so I have jumped on the RC bandwagon. I use Flubro for sleep 24 mg per night but I am tapering off these and hope to be off by xmas. I dont mix benzos either and have alot of k-pins saved up they are only .5 mg and give me no sedation whatsoever. I once took 20 mg of the k=pins in one go and slept for around 2 days. it seems I am in Benzo limbo at the moment and find for sleep phenibut works the best but withdrawal from this is horrible.

At least I used to sleep the RLS was more of a problem for my misses. Its not that I dont care but I used to sleep without chemical help. My doc needs knocking on his ass
