clonazepam and alcohol

i know its not a safe combo but for recreational use, would about 4-6mg clonazepam with about twelve beers or so have somewhat the effect that the combo of xanax and alcohol would have?
 
Yes, yes it would. I would not recommend this combo unless your idea of fun is blackout city. I have done benzos + alcohol so many times, and ruined so many otherwise great parties. On the way to one party I had $3 on me and went to get a pack of smokes and spent all my money (I already had a case of beer). Later that night when I was good and drunk I was offered Xanax and Klonopin, I thought to myself I should not do this, but I did it anyway. The last thing I remember is taking those pills. The next morning me and two other friends, who were also broke and had drank and took benzos, woke up in a hotel on a beach two hours away from where we were the night before. On the coffee table was $1500 dollars, to this day none of us know where that money came from. While this may seem fun, trust me its not. None of us remembered leaving, driving, or anything, my memory is just black. I am still paranoid about that night to this day. On top of all that both benzos and alcohol are CNS depressents. Stay away from that combo. Just my $0.02.
 
so hazmat your story has me interested did you or any of your friends have 1500 missing from a bank account? did you or your friends possibly sell personal items? anything? or is this a completely unknown, mysterious, 1500 clams
 
ive done this combo.....i took prob like 7 mg of klonopin and drank about 8 beers.....lets just say i dont remember a single thing from that night and me and a friend who took a bunch of xanax had to walk home back to my place about a mile walk on the main road....i dont even remember my friend ever being at my house....it can be fun in moderation but when over that i couldnt tell you cuz i dont remember anything
 
Yes, it would be pretty much the same as xanax and alcohol. It is a dangerous combo. I've done it a lot of times and as a result don't remember some of the dumbest things I've ever done. It sucks having to regret crap you don't even remember doing.

Haha thats a great benzo blackout right there man. I'm still laughing about that one. To the OP, I don't know your tolerance to K'pins so I'm not going to judge that much with two six packs. Remember that CNS Depressent + CNS Depressent is always a fun/pretty dangerous combo.

I would take the K'pins before drinking. Thats just me though.
 
I can drink and i've had my ups and downs with all the popular benzos but that just sounds extremely excessive. That's beyond blacking out and heading into the falling asleep and not waking up territory.

When people say benzos and booze can kill people they're not talking about superman level doses.
 
No kidding. You'd be surprised just HOW much benzos increase the action of alcohol in the brain.
 
I drink on my kpins all the time, about everytime in fact. Not that it's a good idea, I have a massive tolerance to alcohol so that may be part of it. Plust I only take 2mgs at most. I never get very fucked up at all. In fact I feel really good but not intoxicated. I have done this at work many times, 2mgs of klonopin and 12 beers or so, unless I am drinking high gravity malt and I'll cut that number to half.
 
I can't really comment on the K'pins but if it's even remotely close to xanax, which from everyones comments it appears to be, it's not fun waking up the next day to pissed off people only to here about what you did the night before and not recall a single thing. I know tolerance plays a huge role in everything but why even risk it?
 
I know this is an older thread, but I thought I'd toss in my own experience. I don't black out when drinking. Never have. But the two times I've tried clonazepam and alcohol are the two times I don't remember anything from the previous night. One night I even apparently drove to get gas and pick up some groceries. I woke up the next day and had to look at the receipt to figure out what I had done.

Basically, it scared me enough that I'll never try anything like that again. I could have seriously hurt myself or someone else.
 
From what I remember, clonazepam is fairly equivalent to alprazolam (Xanax), dose for dose. So yeah, 4-6mg's of clonazepam and 12 beers would have similar effects to 4-6mg's of Xanax and 12 beers. Just take it easy if you have a low benzo tolerance... I can see that dose leading to a major blackout. :\
 
They would have equivalent effects. The combination of alcohol with benzodiazepines should never be recommended on a harm reduction site but if your going to do it, than your going to do it. I think that 12 drinks with 4-6 clonazepam is sort of excessive though. I hope you have a tolerance to one or the other.
 
if you have no tolerance or slight then cut that dose in half and stick to a few beers(3or4). 6mg and 12 beers is alot. 12 beers by itself is alot!
