Clogged Syringe

I took 2 long to inject substance, and now hav a clogged needle due to coagulation. Is there somthing tht I can do to not waste the substance/blood mixture? I evn tried with all my might 2 push the plunger, but i ended up breakin it.

I suggest you throw it away and call it a loss, trying to get anything out of it could be dangerous.

When bits of coagulated blood are loose in your blood stream it is can easily result in an embolism. If you are able to micron filter smaller than the size of platelet cells it may be slightly safer to shoot. You're going to have to start worrying about microbacterial growth in your solution now and all in all you should definitely toss it or if you are completely unwilling to throw it away you can take it orally I guess.

^^thanks for explaining it better than me amapola, I don't know an awful lot about IV, but knew that it would be dangerous to attempt to somehow get it into back into your veins.

I don't think that's what they meant. Amapola said that coagulated blood in your blood stream can cause embolism. If you are just simply transferring coagulated blood into another syringe then wouldn't you be putting yourself at risk for that?

The clog is typically stuck in the needle, he probably just pulled out the plunger (which would drag out most of the solution with it), carefully holding it over a spoon to catch what falls out.

The blood clot would definitely stay in the needle, sometimes blood clots will get into the solution but it isn't common.

They are easy to separate out if it is in the solution anyways.

you can pull the plunger and pour it into a spoon, add water, cook the clots out and draw through a new cotton. but, ime, it never seems to really work right. seems like the heroin molecules get trapped in the platelet matrix or something. overall it's not worth sticking all that bacteria and nasty shit into your body, but we're junkies so i know you'll do it anyways.

If you rinse it out and rerun the mixture through the micron filter (?), you're safe.

xxl is correct; all human blood will be micron filtered out of a solution. This is really the best thing you can do.

Barring this, I would pull the plunger out, get the solution out, and see if there is any visible blood in the solution. If there is, you can get it out with the used needle (I am assuming you have a new needle) - but most times it'll stick in the needle, or to the plunger, or the sides of the syringe. This has been my experience, although I am not often in these circumstances.
