Clocks!!

The clocks go back at 2am. Why it's 2am and not midnight I don't know. It's currently 1:23am.

I think that it's something I would like to do but I just don't have the balls to go away by myself.
I'd be fine if I had a mate with me but I just don't think I could do it by myself. All respect to you for actually getting out there and doing it.

First time I went travelling it was with a mate just round Europe. Next time I wanted to go away no one could afford it or was busy etc so I thought I can either just man up and go alone or forever regret it. So I went alone and it was fine, probably better actually because you're forced out of your shell and more up for meeting new people plus there's tons of other people in the same boat so it's hardly an issue. Glad I did it, now I don't give a fuck if I have to go solo actually prefer it.
 
I think if I was to do it then I would probably start with Europe first as its not so different from here.
I did live in Germany for 6 years during the 80's but that was on an army camp so only had limited contact with the locals although I did have two very good german mates.
I'd look into if I could get one of those train tickets that you can use to travel through Europe.
I think that would be a good way to build confidence before travelling further afield.
May have to PM you sometime Spade for some info if that's ok?

Depending on which parts of Europe you visit the Eurorail tickets can be more expensive, if you're doing Eastern Europe and the Balkans better off buying locally. Europe is nice but Asia and South America is more adventurous and fun IME.

Word. I totally understand people who have career jobs, that would see them go up the ladder in terms of of rank, status and pay, not wanting to leave, but there's so many people doing crappy menial jobs just to pay the bills who set themselves limits to what they do with their lives.

I know a lot of people back home, who I know have tens of thousands of euros in the bank, nothing to spend it on(like family or mortgages), who complain about being stuck, yet do nothing at all to change that.
 
If I put my real views about different cultures & forced integration of cultures in my homeland I would be removed from this board right away.

What I said is not "racist" I would learn to define the word & not take my post out of context & pervert it to your leftwing, pro muslim/black/ethnic minority fetid viewpoint.

Aye I have a load of mates who are always telling me "I wish I could do what you do and go away travelling" and then I say why don't you then and they come up with really shit excuses, like "errrm....well I dunno" or "I don't think I could afford it" which is funny because they live at home with their mum, always have, have no bills, no rent and just squander all their money on booze or other shite. I've got mates who work on the rigs, making tons of money, live at home, no expenses yet they still manage to spend all their wages every month and they have nothing to show for it, not even a 2 week holiday or something useful like a car. Just fuck all and they make decent money yet they are telling me "I wish I could afford to go travelling". :\

Well it's either back to that subject or asking the mods to take the 'L' out of the thread title.

I was on EADD when the rollover happened, a good reminder that it was time to go to bed. Got up at about midday old school time.... but I'm an hour less lazy than I seem.
