Opioids Clear methadone liquid from clinic - Data Question and IV

Have been clean off heroin for 11 months now, and have been getting more and more take home bottles as I accrue more clean time at my clinic.

The clinic machine-doses a clear, very bitter liquid into a cup, and offers to either add juice or water from a seperate jug.

I was wondering two things --

1) would it be safe to inject this liquid since it is clear and bitter? There are obviously no flavoring or coloring enhancements added to the liquid. I am assuming it is just methadone HCL dissolved in a solvent. (I realize methadone is greatly bioavailable in its' oral capacity, but I want to try it for laughs anyway.)

and 2) Does anyone have material data specs on the different brands of methadone liquid that clinics use? I'm looking for overall ratio of drug per mL and brand name, and any other info.

I would say no dont shoot it as methadone I have been scripted or used has always been a thick liquid (even the sugar free) so I cant imagine this would do your veins any good, plus not to mention what is in the liquid other than methadone. If you really must chase a high from it I suggest you skip a dose (or 2 if possible) then take double the next day -even that wont really give you any euphoria but you would feel it I guess. Why not keep up the good work and forget opiate highs and maybe blaze a little weed or something?

if its viscous and syrupy, no not a good idea..

if its just water and the drug theres no problem with it.

I dont have any data to support this, but I once knew a squatter who came from chicago, and he claimed that he used to get the clear liquid methadone. He told me that it was the safest, and the ONLY meth you could shoot, and that the clinic did it as a harm reduction thing. However, this could be junky mythology, I'm not sure, but you can find links on BL to harm reduction sites that will tell you the safest way to inject methadone liquid.

OK ill chime in here. At the clinic I used to go to the methadone was clear. exactly the same as yours. I asked the nurse if it was just pure methadone or what and she said its just pure methadone and that stuff to preserve it. nothing harmful. I myself did inject it but I micron filtered. it didnt get me high but satisfied my need to inject something. Im in no way saying to do this im saying if you do be safe and micron filter if you can or filter it multiple times.
