We don't do substance IDs on ED, but for the record MDMA can be a crystal, glassy, powdery, slightly sticky (if it's absorbed moisture), etc. etc. Color, taste, and consistency are not reliable ways to determine the contents of a substance. Use a testing kit to at least determine the presence of MDxx, which are available from a variety of online stores and are totally legal in the U.S.
I always feel like I'm hawking the stuff when I post links to testing kit sellers so I'll refrain this time, but they're not hard to find. Ask if you're interested, and I do highly recommend investing in one -- they'll save you a ton more money than you'd waste on bunk substances.
