Cleaning used syringe for plugging?

So, I know this was risky behavior I just want to know if I went about it as safely as possible.

Friend had a bunch of 5mg oxycodone tablets (with no APAP) - schweet! well I've got a sort of tolerence so to feel the 40mg I probably needed to plug in, so anyway, when I plug, I use a normal syringe (for insulin), cut the needle off, and then shove it up my ass.

Now, that's all fine and dandy, but we had no clean syringe. My buddy had just one left and he needed to use it. He swears he is STD clean and been tested (he has a girlfrien and she is pregnant) - he has been tested from his past, I don't think he cheats on the girl and i doubt she does and I don't think he shares needles - basically i think I trust him that its clean.

well anyway, when he was done using it, I cut the tip off, cleaned it with water and soap over and over again.

Then I poured a big cup of bleach and let it sit in that for 5 minutes or so, then washed that out.

Then I boiled it for another 5 minutes, then back to the bleach, then washed with soap and water again.

Then held a flame through it for a sec (not enough to melt the plastic)....

anyway main question is, I used this to plug - one, is there a risk with plugging with a used tube anyway? two, if by some chance he weren't clean, would the bleach, boiling, and heat take care of it and keep me safe?

not sure but I think this should go to Healthy Living. Move if nessicary
much love.

Bear in mind that needle-less syringes can be had online (even from major online retailers) real easy, for real cheap...

You should be safe (you've sterilized aggressively and removed the needle), but this is an unnecessary complication that could have been prevented by just ordering common, cheap supplies.

Certainly, if the needle wasn't sterilized and contained infectious material, you could get infected by using it to plug - squirting infected material up your butt works just fine to transmit AIDS and other STDs, as far too many gay men discovered when AIDS first appeared...

Never share syringes regardless how much you trust the person. He could have been high and had a lapse in judgement without knowing it. Especially if you don't "need" to shoot up yourself. There is no point in plugging oxy, even less so when you have to use a used syringe to do it. Then it's just stupid.

I am aware, normally I just buy a pack of new syringes at the store and cut the needle off but it was like 12AM....

I would have felt next to nothing from ammount I was doing if I hadn't plugged it.

I've had the same oral syringe for plugging for a while. It's part of my routine to completely disinfect it with high grade Isopropyl Alcohol and clean it thoroughly.

Being sanitary is one of the smartest thing you can do when it comes to drug use. However, I would NEVER share my oral syringe that I use for plugging. I'd feel weird about it anyways.

I don't think bleach kills hep c. It would probably have been destroyed during your cleaning process but you never know. Get checked , I'm sure it's free or costs next to nothing.

Personally I would not want the risk of IPA tempation around me when the comedown kicks in and relief is required desperately

This.

Don't use a syringe that you have doubts about it's safety.
