Cocaine Cleaning confusion

Did the anhydrous acetone wash 3x on 1g cocaine hcl. It's drying now but looks to be the same starting weight ie nothing much came out. The acetone was slightly differently colored during the process. Not sure if I had some pure to begin with or other adulterants did not come out. It's not all sparkles like it should be. It would be nice to refine further. What sort of cuts are not removed via this tek and are they more common these days?

I know there is a lot of info out there but I'm wondering what migfh have gone wrong here. Any info on what to do now with minimal ingredients/chemicals would be very helpful. Thanks BL.

w/o complete drying and milligram scales you wont know for sure. Are you sure your acetone *is* acetone, and anhydrous? Ifit's been sitting a while or improperly capped it probably has water in it. speculating on cuts isnt allowed here.

Well no I haven't weighed it yet. I have a scale and will tomorrow. I did expect a significant drop in final matter though and I'm just not seeing it. Im pretty sure the acetone is anhydrous. I made it two days ago. Stored in mason jar with a tight lid in the freezer, same as I've always done.

If you have no clue what is in the cocaine in the first place, anhydrous acetone washing is shooting in the dark.

It may sound obvious, but acetone will only dissolve cuts that acetone will dissolve. For instance it won't take out levamisole as well as it would take out stuff like caffeine.

Also, going by visual appearance (also smell, taste etc) is a very poor test of purity.

Yea you're right. I have no idea what the cut is and neither does the dealer. I figured I would start with the acetone wash to see if the common cuts would dissolve out. Seeing as levimisol is likely to be the main cut I was hoping to clean that out. Wasn't aware it wouldn't get absorbed by the acetone. What would dissolve it? I'll weigh here in a minute.

10-12mg sniffed. Not jittery. Relaxed, adaptable, numbing. Feels like any amps are gone. Yesterday did 5mg~ and had more pronounced effects than this plus some energy. Still I suspect levimisol remains.

Good job, now you just need to remove the other .77 to make it pure ;) I don't think that a cleaning method exists for levamisole, but there are reagent tests for it which will at least tell you if your sample is contaminated. Have you performed an A/B extraction yet? Although admittedly that may be a waste of time since most adulterants are salts.

I've not performed an a/b. I dont have all the things handy for it. Was hoping to have it all clean by new years. That is not very likely. I'll try to go further with it next time. Its a shame that levimisole is so prominent with little way to clean it. I really should invest in a test kit someday. I usually only work with pure samples of anything else though, forgoing procuring anything but verified substances. This is the first I've gotten of a knowingly contaminated substance in years.

You could just recrystallize it from something like hot methanol, maybe.

Unless you actually have some clue about what and how much cut there is, it's the only sort of fail safe method. A/B will still leave levamisole in there.

What makes you suspect that it's cut if it's active at 5mg? It certainly can't be cut very much.

The fact that its active at 5mg is a very good point. I suppose I'm just skeptical that anything that pure could be available. But thw effects don't lie. It is certainly a different drug after the cleanup. I'm willing to experiment with a batch using different methods until it seems like it's completely clean. What's the procedure for a methanol crystallization? Wash and evap?
