.

First ever gig I attended was on that tour, at Leeds Queens Hall

Not a bad first gig, to say the least!

They were the loudest band in the world, and there were no volume limits back then, so you can imagine...

EDIT
quite surprised this isn't in this thread - well, it is now

Sin= anything that causes you or, others destruction.

Was never a subscriber of doctrine (always figured it was a cultist tool to subordinate/oppress people ; still am not a subscriber to doctrine & but yet, I do realise that sin is the conception of destruction of life/living - absolutely, certain of that.

Darkness, darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence of your dream

Darkness, darkness, hide my yearning
For the things that cannot be
Keep my mind from constant turning
Towards the things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see now
Things I cannot see

Darkness, darkness, long and lonesome
Ease the day that brings me pain
I have felt the edge of sadness
I have known the depth of fear

Darkness, darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away, take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
Emptiness of right now, now, now
Emptiness of right

Darkness darkness, be my pillow
Take my head and let me sleep
In the coolness of your shadow
In the silence, the silence of your dreams

Darkness, darkness, be my blanket
Cover me with the endless night
Take away take away the pain of knowing
Fill the emptiness of right now
Emptiness of right now now now
Emptiness of right
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Emptiness, emptiness
Oh yeah

I'll tell you right now.
I was there when this came out,
and the entire world simply stopped.
Eerily familiar in this moment of madness,
don't you think?
