Hey everyone
Some months ago i got a despression and was given citaloprams, and was told they would work after 6 - 7 weeks, but they never did! Started with 10 mg and ended with 30 mg a day. Anyone had the same experience?
And how do they make you feel when they actually work? Can it be compared to tramadols? ( sorry if my questions are a little stupid maybe, but if you dont ask, you'll never learn :)

Often times it's hard to see the effects of SSRIs until you stop taking them. The main feeling I have on them is numbness/emptiness. The effects are nothing like tramadol.

I'm curious about how you expected SSRIs to make you feel. I find that a lot of people think that they're some kind of "happy pill" whereas in reality they tend more towards helping you feel less shitty less often - so they'll help lift the feelings of utter despair and hopelessness but positive feelings will come from other stuff like therapy or re-engaging in life. They aren't "feel good" drugs by any means and I think that a lot of people find them unsatisfactory for that reason.

Okay, ive thought about trying them again instead of doing tramadol, which is the only thing that is making my mood normal atm.
But if they dont work again, i dont know what im gunna do.

I didnt expect them to be a happy pill, the reason i asked like that is because my sister also tried them after getting a depression, and after 6 week she was constantly over the top happy and energetic ( and kinda annoying actually), and it just never worked nowhere near as good on me. And i dont expect them to work as good as trammies, but i just hoped they would make it a little more bareable to have a normal everyday life :)
