Used to be a serious crackhead but then kinda "cured" that by switching to opiates like codeine extractions everyday for 8 yrs. Got off all the drugs for about 3 months and past what they call the Post Accute Withdrawal stage or PAWS and really didn't feel like I needed anything for the depression. Seems the codeine was causing it all. Then had a rough time and went back to my daily OTC codeine extractions at usually 50 tabs each morning or close somewhere around 200-300mgs codeine. Too bad for me but then thinking I had depression I began taking Ciprolex and stuck to it for only 6 weeks. It was long enough to recognise that I felt much better mood wise but there was a very bad side effect and I think that everyone might want to look out for it. I hadn't smoked crack for 7-8 yrs and when ever I would crave it , it was no big deal but on the Ciprolex I began craving to such a degree, well really not craving but almost jonesing as if I had just run out. I had to stop the Ciprolex and all of that passed and I'm back to normal. I might post some kind of warning about this somewhere else.
