cimetidine and hydrocodone question?

i have three 800mg cimetidine pills and i know that they potentate hydrocodone. heres my problem i have used a combination of white grapefruit juice and 45mgs of dxm before taking 15mgsof oxycodone in the past. the high was very drawn out and depressing. i would like to try to use this cimetidine to potentate my hydro but my problem is i usually take 45mgs of dxm an hour before pill ingestion to potentate and prevent tolerance. should i skip the dxm just one time and use the cimetidine and if so how much cimetidine should i use. i have three 800mg pills. thanks

I can't comment on the dxm however on the cimetidine I would suggest 800mg about an hour before the oxy. This is the dosage I use with my hydrocodone and it works nicely. Don't expect a super drastic effect however you should feel the effets of the oxy longer. Hope this helps.

i wont be taking oxy just hydro. 25mgs brand name vikes which i found to last very long anyway. does the cimetidine only work with oxy

Hi pillman. No, it doesn't just work on oxy in fact hydro is what I use it for. Don't expect any synergistic effects from it, it just simply lengthens the time you feel the hydro before it wears off. Nothing mind blowing but indeed noticeable at least for me and I know others have had success as well.

well i got the opposite effect. a half hour after taking the vikes a got real warm and felt like i was in heaven then a half hour after that nodded for an hour and a half straight. my cigarette almost burned to the filter. after about 2 hours just a slight head buzz which i still have. these vikes usually keep me high for a good 4-6 hours. any idea on why they didnt do it this time? is it possible the cimetidine didnt make them last as long?

Honestly I'm not sure why that happened. What the cimetidine basically does is inhibit the production of a certain enzyme in the digestion process which is supposed to slow the process of the body eliminating the hydro from your system thus the longer effects. I've never experienced what you're describing. Perhaps someone else can chime in who has a better idea on the situation than me. I guess on the bright side you got a more intense effect however not long lasting but I understand synergistic effects weren't what you were looking for.
