Cigarettes...

The only thing they are good for is to help me nod other than that they are pointless

Man I hated that rush, I still get it if I go without a ciggy for like 3 days. Sucks being nicotine tolerant haha, wanna quit but I get too pissed off if I don't smoke. :(

And it's not being easy to get that makes them addictive, it's just the habit. Shit I can get weed and E's easier than I can get ciggys now, but I don't go poppin & smokin them everyday.

i can go weeks without thinking about fags and then smoke for a couple weeks. i started smoking splifs rolled with backy before i even had my first cigarette so i got buzzing of that before i new what the niccotine buzz felt like i think this is why i havent got adiction (could stop smoking fags instantly) normaly i smoke when im out or with mates. also when im drinking tend 2 chain smoke

the only time i crave a fag is when ive run out of coke and i dont know what to do with myself..3am counting pennies then walking to the 24/h petrol garage for a 10 deck lol

I really have no idea what you guys are talking about. I smoked my first cigarette when I was 10 years old. Didn't feel any kind of rush then, never have and still don't today. If you're talking about the slight dizziness you get from lack of oxygen, I guess if that's you're kinda thing then more power to you. If you are really getting stronger effects from cigarettes than you are from weed, then you need to find a new weed hookup.

Three long drags from a Rothman's Red and fifteen seconds later I begin to feel waves of intense lightness, not dizzy as much a hazy, floaty sensation and tingling in my fingertips.

I normally smoke A-grade Trainwreck or Grapefruit.

im in the process of quitting smoking
went from a pack/pack and a half a day, to 3 cigarettes a day. all that in the matter of a week. pretty proud of myself.

I went to the doctors today. Got shantix. Starting after this pack. I'm suped. Suped. Duped.

Chantix/varenicline interests me ... I know one person who was to stop smoking and experienced considerable success. Pharmacologically it's active at nicotine receptor sites as a partial agonist (a la buprenorphrine, both activating receptors & blocking the real drug from doing so) but isn't nicotine. I'd be really interested to hear how you do with it. Also, if you don't mind my asking, it's quite expensive, is it not? (although lifetime I've spent in excess of $20,000 on cigarettes by my calculations ... UGH.)

Oh and congratulations, BTW. Good for you.

when I was younger I would get the rush when I had gone a couple days without a smoke, I was under 18 and couldn't buy them so if no one wanted to buy them for me its just the way it was.. several years later that so called rush is doesn't exist anymore.. seriuosly just quit while you can, people told me that all the time and I brushed it off my shoulder then before I knew it I was addicted to them.. stupid stupid stupid ><

I find that the rush comes back after a couple of days abstinence. Sometimes it's even there on the first cigarette of the day. Meh, maybe that's just me though.

Me too. In the morning, when I make my coffee and smoke that first ciggy of the day... ah, it's pure bliss. Each cig thereafter has no high, though. Just keeps the withdrawal at bay...

Should I stop while I'm ahead, before I stop getting rushes from smoking and just do it out of craving or will I always be guaranteed a nicotine rush when smoking only twice a day? I don't want to get hooked for nothing. :P

Of course you should quit when you're ahead. You aren't immune to addiction or anything, it just takes a while for addiction to set in, longer than a lot of people think. Personally I never found the nicotine "rush" to be that good. It just made me light-headed and if I took too much I'd just feel dizzy and sick, but to each their own.

But they sure go well with heroin.
and benzos as well
