Opioids cigarettes and heroin

hey, i was just wondering if anyone else has noticed this...whenever i do dope i feel the need to CHAIN smoke cigarettes, but when i'm off or on suboxone, i don't even really want to smoke AT ALL, which is weird because I have smoked every day for at least two years. When i do smoke when i'm sober or on suboxone I think it tastes super nasty and sometimes I don't even finish the cigarette.
 
yup, i am the exact same way. even on methadone, sub for that matter, the smell and taste of a cig make me sick. but if i was high on a good shop of dope i would smoke a pack in like an afternoon. I always thought it was because your lungs and cough reflex are relaxed so it dulls the smoke and goes down easier. plus i have read that opiates interfere with nicoteine receptors or something? cant remember for sure...there is something about sitting outside on a nice summer day on the shade smoking a cig and nodding out.
 
Probably most heavy opioid users enjoy smoking with opioids to the point where when I've met heroin users who aren't smokers, I'm rather surprised. I don't really see harm reduction value in this and it doesn't really fit here so I'm going to close this.
