Hi guys wassup? im just wondering if any of you have tried the chroming??? What effects did you get?

I stopped doing it now , i wasnt feeling anything and it just gave me severe depression the next day!!!

when I was younger and much much stupider having nothing else to get high on I inhaled super glue fumes, became very lightheaded, euphoric followed by a headache.. solvents just aren't worth it in my opinion..

Yeah it really isnt worth it...it doesnt make me high at all. In fact the only times i have chromed or sniffed petrol were when i was peaking of my head on pills and speed. Sniffing petrol is something i regret doing...although it felt good

doen it as well while i was coming down, i couldn't really smell it, but the fumes made the comdown a bit better.

distusting shit though.
might as well drink cough syrup

Hmm yes it is dangerous i admit....but people have told me about some weird hallucinations and o.o.b.e. s on chrome...
And chroming isnt smelling the fumes.... its when you spray some spray paint into a plastic and cup the bag at the top as if you were blowing up a balloon and then breathe in and out with your mouth....

The question is what are the effects of chroming. Everything else is off-topic and flames have been removed from this thread. Try to post on-topic, please.

i'd imagine they are simliar to that of sniffing amyl nitrate? this has always been my assumption, ive sniffed glue through a paper bag when i was 16, tried amyl when i was 17. found it very similiar, but amyl was better in some respects (speed of effects were noticable)

but as far spray cans and garbage bags go, ive never tried it, nor do i want to (same goes for glue twice is enough).

But amyl nitrate on the other hand ;) i can see myself doing it more in the future :)

I haven't seen anything suggesting nitrous or amyl/butyl nitrite are really neurotoxic.

But huffing glue/paint/whatever definitely is. I don't think there's really any harm reduction advice you can give for huffing. You can't really make huffing any safer aside from reminding people to breathe oxygen as well as whatever shit they're sniffing.

A quote from Erowid says it all:

"WARNING: Our understanding of the literature is that there is no such thing as safe use of most volatile solvents, aerosols or other street inhalants : their psychoactive effects are inseparable from nerve and organ damage. We have chosen to include information on inhalant in order to help document their real world use, but the inclusion of this information is not intended to imply that they are anything but dangerous. "

um yes my butane/aerosol habbit left me quite depressed for little while. it can be really addictive and when your young you don't realise the damage its doing.

if your looking for a good time there are a million things you can do - get some neroufen +, or some some weed, or get some E, play some scrabble or just say "no" :) (hehehe)

Don't know what was the active chem, but back when i was younger i used to huff white out and white out diluter.

Effects - well its been a while but basicly i felt good, relaxed. Your hearing goes strange and comes in waves like no sound 1 sec, sound the next. That's pretty much all i can remember about it.

Its bad though, and i would never ever recommend anybody take it.

Here is a list of volatile solvents that are powerful neuro-toxins:

As posted above, there is no safe use of these solvents as they inherently break down organic tissue.

If you want to know more check this out

Interesting quote here
Research evidence suggests that short-term use of volatile substances rarely cause permanent damage and effects are reversible if the person stops using inhalants.

I've tried Amyl Nitrite, wasn't spectacular... I just tried it to cure my boredom and curiosity. I'd personally much prefer get a nice Alcohol buzz over that shit, but using it on pills... I'd imagine, would be a totally different story altogether.

Yes. yes it is =D

I've had ether (pharmecutical grade) which was quite interesting and quite euphoric... It was also pretty addictive while high, I found it easy to get lost in a different thinking state. Much better then alcohol in my opinion.

Amyl nitrite is fairly interesting but it seems more like just an intoxicant rather then euphoria, it has altered my high quite a bit on pills and sort of sedates you (relaxes your muscles) and makes it more smacky in my opinion, but I don't think fun describes it. It just well... intoxicates you.

I would say the best in order of preference would be nangs, then ether, then amyl. Never had much curiosity towards other inhalents and I believe those are the only ones worth doing... if that.
However I had a friend who tried huffing petrol and liked it apart from an annoying ring. I believe that if you have the money there are better things to do then chroming.

I have worked at residential care units for young people, we had many clients who chrome and chrome daily. I was really interested to see what it was that made it worth it as it seems so dirty and horrid (using spray paint cans). So one day i grabbed a can from my garage and gave it a shot. It stings and burns your lungs in a painfull yet strangely curious way. The effects are similar to that of alcohol at first and then become more intense without the illness alcohol creates.

From watching the kids do it i also see it can become very psychadelic at high end doses. Similar to what i have experienced on nangs i think. After 5 or more nangs in as many minutes you go rather loopy. I have seen a party of 12 people go from being a normal every day drug orientated party to a group of 12 people totally loopy all following the bulberator around the house making sure no one takes it to far and trying to steal the next persons nangs.

Anyway i think the main attraction to the spray cans is that they are free to the kids who just steal them. However the high is not as good as other things to those of us who can afford our drugs. Or at least have other means of aquiring them.

I went into the city and asked some of the chromers on the street a few questions. The trend here is to sniff metallic silver paint and the small flouro cans, also those big bostik stick glue thingys. Young person says they use their nose these days and not there mouths (progress I guess??) whereas the other young guy preferred to hold the bag over their mouth, which I can see from the silver paint all over his face. At least australians dont get the "steamboaters" they get a bottle of methylated spirits, grab some free bread from the city mission, filter the methylated spirits through the bread into a bottle of coke. And drink that all day!..
