Hi BLers,

This is my first trip report. As per usual, times are a bit of a guesstimation but the night went something like this.

Before I begin, I must give an overwhelming thanks to my wonderful, supportive, non-judgmental dog Lola. Dragged around for hours, she surely got the short end of the stick.

Where I live in the suburbs of Sydney, there is a big loop with the main streets that hook back around. At the end of the night I plotted my path on Gmaps Pedometer and it appears the path I walked was just over 14km.

9.30 - dropped 2.5. chilled at home for a little while.

10.30 - starting to feel pretty messed up, haven't had a larger dose like that for a while (I have low tolerance). Start walking down the street to the Christmas lights we have in our area which were a couple of kilometres away. Christmas lights looked beautiful, I was listening to Vibrasphere on my ipod and the lights were bouncing with the bass. Beautiful! Any tripper should enjoy the christmas lights before it is too late!!

11 - nothing too much of note here, just wanted to describe how i was feeling. it got to the point, walking along the path, where i wasnt even walking anymore, it was just my body projecting me forwards, it sounds kind of strange to write but I felt like I was completely disconnected from my body and "cruise control" had taken over. I relaxed my brain, completely cut myself off and found that I was still walking. Again, I know that sounds stupid now but the feeling at the time was just unbelievable. Perhaps a minor OOBE. Pretty awesome nonetheless. this was definitely induced by the rhythmic pace and Vibrasphere playing.

11.30 - finished with lights, headed down into the loop now. Walking down the street I see a guy up ahead walking sluggishly across the road and narrowly missed by several passing cars, I run over and the guy is completely hammered. I walk him to the side of the road, admitted he was drunk and told me he'd be more careful... I hope he got home eventually. It was strange to be in my own world for hours with the headphones and just my thoughts and then to be flung back into reality and to clash with another being so unexpectedly, interesting how we can have such brief interactions with other people, then depart so soon and retain for so long the memory of that interaction. I have had that with a lot of people I have met spontaneously over the years. Meeting new people is awesome.

12 midnight - walking down through the loop further, I stood off to the side of the road to piss off the edge of the path, and all of a sudden I made one wrong step and blacked out, tumbling down into a creekbed below. It was pitch black so i'm not too sure how far I fell, but knowing that i'm 6"3' I'd guess it was probably 5-6m down. As I type this i have blood blisters, gashes, scrapes, scratches and cuts on my hands, chest and face (and i was going to have my license photo done today :!) the first thing I did when I was stuck down there was follow the leash to find where the dog had gone, I quickly found she had fallen down as well, so I pushed her back up and eventually hauled myself up. All my clothes were covered in mud, blood and sweat. I couldn't decide whether to head back or press on - for some reason i decided I would continue. I'm glad I did.

12.30 - walking up a hilly part of the loop, all of a sudden the album I'm listening to stops playing. I had borrowed my sisters ipod and synced it with my music (punk doesn't do too much for me :P) and the damn thing has a passcode.. couldn't get thru to her. Now all of a sudden I was hours from home, covered in muck and with no music..... The trip seemed to begin it's "second-half" here. This was also around the 3 hour mark, which in my experience is when the comeup and harsh waves of OEVs stop, and the "LSD state of consciousness" takes over. i think the first 3-5 hours of a trip are verrry different from the time after that.

1 - still covered in mud, sweat and blood, I walked through a skate park and found about a dozen or so 16/17 year old kids who were on their Christmas holiday punching cones. I was walking past asking where the tap was and they commented on my dog, so I decided to walk over to see what they were up to. They were completely convinced I was an under, so to "prove" that I wasn't, they gave me a billy to punch!! Talk about a shoddy idea... I won't bother explaining the weakness with that plan. Anyway I punch the cone and then they started to head to a service station, so i followed along, dutifully purchasing cigarettes with my oldness (ahh the good old days of waiting for someone who looked like they'd take a few ciggies to buy them for you to walk past the servo). A few of them walked ahead to the servo before me, and as i walk up to the door to go in I see them shoving stuff into their pockets, I glance over at the cashier and he is walking hurriedly towards the counter and there is this beeping sound going off, I thought he had locked the doors or something crazy coz he'd seen them nicking stuff, so I freak out and run away from the servo, then I realise he's just rushing over to open the door for me (they keep them locked up in AU after 10, unless the cashier opens them). damn lsd playing tricks on me......

1.30 - the kids started setting off firecrackers. good fun, the dog freaks out and runs off so i enjoy chasing her for 10 minutes or so (which i promise you is oh so much fun when trippin balls and having just had a cone). We walked further down the street and i bought the kids ciggies from the servo there, bummed a couple, then off i went.

I then spent from about 2am until about 3.30am walking home. the last few km were horrific, I was really worried about the dog too as she hadnt had any water the whole time. Trooper kept pulling along straining my shoulder the whole way as she usually does.

3.30 - got home, collapsed. Watched The Office until around 7am when i finally, blissfully, fell asleep.

Apologies if this was poorly written, it was more for a friend than a submission of talent. I'm so glad i decided to continue after falling down, the night would have been booooring otherwise. I'm also impressed with myself for walking so far, that was a hike for me.

happy tripping <3

Hahaha cool report man. Keep em coming. Think i mite have to add a report here one day. The shit i have experienced is beyond words.

Interesting trip report, especially the part where Ur pissing and fall down a cliff. I used to love tripping while hiking in nature, and yeah, WTF is a "billy?"

I think it is an Australian term - billy, as in billy bong (like Waltzing Maltida, billabong) :) and to punch a cone is to pull a cone thru in one hit.

acid rules. nice report. i was tripping when i noticed that the city put a 40 foot tree in the middle of the equivilent of time square in my town...

Haha, great report dude, I really enjoyed reading it. I definitely gotta go walking the next time I'm trippin out.

Also, kudos for helping the drunk guy across the street AND for continuing your adventure even after falling in/near a creek! It's interesting that you bring up the idea of meeting people briefly but remembering them for a long time - Those kids will remember you and your dog I'm sure! ^-^

Wow what a night!

I have had a milder version of this when running on cannabis.

Haha I ran into them about 2 days ago, and they did! funny fuckers. Hey it's been a while since I had a trip.. hmm....

Cool report man - I miss Sydney, wonder what walking round the Botannical Gardens would be like, pretty cool I think, what with all the bats and ibis and whatnot. I haven't been there since I was ten so they're actually probably a lot smaller than I remember. I digress.
Out of intrest... just because... what breed is your dog? haha

^ i actually had a planned shroom trip for botanical gardens + art gallery some saturday morning soon... should be awesome =)

dog is a german short-haired pointer. hunting dog, but she's very tame, never bites

Nice TR,

Yeah I get the autopilot thing on LSD as well. It's like it's hard to relate to your body's ability to deal spatial issues...

Man i tripped a while ago and got lost in my suburb and its only small and there's only one way in or out and i was walking around it for 4 hours with my dog and he had heaps of fun sniffing out people plants(ex police sniffer dogs) in the slighly bushy part of my suburb, or it was the rich guys front yard, lol.

This cone goes to you and your trooper of a dog!
