It really wasn’t easy
It was definitely a hard decision
The pro’s and cons must have driven you crazy
Your thoughts must have been a constant collision

I’m so proud of you for deciding
And although my morals may not agree
You are what’s most important
Your life needs to be free

Regret will keep your head spinning
Wondering how it could have been
But there’s no Christmas spirit
To look ahead, to have seen

Acceptance will take a while
This may haunt you for life
But don’t let it over control you
I know the pain’s like a knife

Everything that’s important
Is here now and forever
