Chlorpheniramine as a deliriant

I know, I know; "Deliriants are no fun." But this is a completely subjective matter, and I'm interested in them to an extent.

Anyway, I wondered if chlorpheniramine is a deliriant (I am assuming it is, as I have heard that it is an anticholinergic). If so, what would be a good dose for some hallucinations? And assuming that I can control myself when under the influence, is this safe?

Thanks.

Just out of curiousity - what kind of dose would produce delirium? I am just curious as I could not seem to find any information about it anywhere.

I don't know. The reason you can't find it anywhere is because it probably hasn't been done with any success. The more reading I do about CPM overdosing (and you're going to have to overdose to get any sort of deliriant-like effects from it, for sure) involve people have serotonin syndrome and all the lovely complications that arise from that.

I would seriously reconsider taking a lot of antihistamines for a recreational effect. The dangers are not completely known, but what is known is bad.

It is possible to overdose in chlorpheniramine (here's some info) and there is anecdotal evidence in the medical literature; can't find what sort of dose range is dangerous but I certainly wouldn't like to risk it. It can cause seizures and coma as well as anticholinergic side effects - dry mouth, urinary retention, high body temp, tachycardia (fast heart rate) and obv delirium.

It seems possibly less dangerous than some of the other classes of antihistamines, but personally I wouldn't risk it!

I got mild delirium after taking a few too many nytol (diphenhydramine) - I suspect the dose needed varies quite a bit from person to person. It was not fun :p
