Whenever i visit a Pharmacy whilst looking for a potentiating anti-histamine i always go for Promethazine or Diphenhydramine, most Pharmacies have the DPH but usually sell it under a brand name such as Nytol or something similar and its quire expensive, and as for the Promethazine it seems quite rare and the Pharmacist always gives me funny looks and ask me a million and one questions before they offer to sell me it, and then the price they ask is extortionate! It's sold under the brand Name Phenergan and the price is a joke :? I wont mention the prices of the individual Anti-Histamines just in case as i dont want to go breaking any BL rules.

Anyway i go in this one Pharmacy and ask for the usual Promethazine, Diphenhydramine and the answer is always the same (a ridiculously priced medicication) The Pharmacist obviously realises im looking for a Drowsy Anti-Histamine so she offers me Chlorphenamine, she tells me its a drowsy Anti-Histamine and its on special offer due to it only having about 3 weeks shelf life left, i buy some, it comes in 4mg tabs.

Does anybody else have any experience with this Anti-Histamine?

A) As a general Anti-Histamine, stopping itchiness, travel sickness and as a sleep aid?

B) As a Potentiator of any other drugs (Opiates/possibly Benzos)

In my personal experience it does make me generally more sleepy especially when ive taken Benzos and even a day or 2 after Benzo use:?

I usually dose 4-8mg before any Opiate use (usually poppy pod tea or Oxycontin (OC) ) and from what i can notice it doesnt do anything for the itchiness or anything!

Im not sure of the Brand it just has NUNARK printed on the box which im guessing is the Pharmaceutical family,

CPM is a decent potentiator of opiates, I'd say its as good (or maybe slightly worse) than diphenhydramine (DPH) for reducing the opiate itch.

Can't comment on its anti-nausea or sleep aid abilities, but reports would indicate that it is just as good (being a classic/first generation antihistamine).

Might be worth trying to source DPH on the internet if it's a hassle. You can get it cheaply and easily on a certain internet auction site, would certainly be advantageous if you're buying it often.
