Child Protection Services test for LSD?

My friend and I are wanting to drop tomorrow (some legendary one-hit-wonders on blotter of all things I might happily add). The problem is that CPS may or may not stop by any weekday to drug test her. She's a kick-ass mom, just an ex making bogus calls to CPS, and it's standard procedure for them to make stops by regardless for the time being just to be sure for the children's sakes. We discussed it a bit. I wouldn't think that CPS would test for anything from that category aside from PCP or K or maybe MDMA, not that I'm an expert, obviously. I would figure them to be more worried about your basic problem drugs like methamphetamines, amphetamines, opiates, opioids, coke, etc. They test for THC, but her case worker guy told her they really don't care as long as it's not used in front of the little ones and no serious issues were discovered in addition.
Of course, I would never forgive myself if CPS just happened to stop by anytime between Monday and Wednesday and they did just happen to test for LSD. And any worries about that at all during the trip could potentially throw us into chaos. It would ease my mind if perhaps a few different individuals could assure me that no CPS agencies in the US test for LSD, or tell me where I could go to find out if that information is acquireable. Thanks a million. We've had a semi-warm spell here and and tomorrow will be the last day of it and I really counted on a nature walk of sorts. I have a feeling we may just take a raincheck regardless but any suggestions that may be helpful are greatly appreciated.

I don't think drugtest questions are allowed here.

Regardless, testing for LSD is pretty uncommon... It's harder to do than other tests (since the quantities of material they're looking for are orders of magnitude lower), and LSD is not nearly a big a concern as other drugs.

They won't test for LSD unless given a specific reason to(ie ex claims she's been taking it around child). They do 12 panel tests here, and that includes: cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine opiates, methadone, pcp, benzodiazepines, alcohol, amphetamine, propoxyphene, oxycodone and tri-cyclic antidepressants.

LSD is not tested for in standard urinalysis tests. AFAIK the main way testing is done for LSD is GC/MS (gas chromatography - mass spectrometry), which can detect tiny amounts of virtually anything but is also very, very expensive. Standard practice at least at most private UA labs is to run the cheaper test twice and only order a GC/MS if the sample tests positive both times. The cheap-o test is too inaccurate to give any meaningful data about something in as minute concentration as LSD metabolites. If I'm not mistaken, LSD is difficult to detect in urine even by GC/MS within about 48 hours since virtually all of the metabolites have passed through your body already.

My biggest worry aside from the very remote chance that they order a several hundred dollar test that isn't standard procedure pretty much anywhere to test for obscure non-addictive drugs with no reason to suspect their use is that they could show up *during* the trip - that could certainly be bad. Can she let them know she'll be leaving the child with a relative/sitter/etc for the day and go elsewhere to trip?

i concur with taking the trip at night or away from home or at least on the weekend.. i have read that there is almost no chance of conclusively detecting it after about 48 hours..
