A federal lawsuit alleges that Chicago police sodomized a man with a gun until he agreed to become a participant in a drug sting, the Courthouse News Service reports. Plaintiff Angel Perez is suing police officer Jorge Lopez and the city of Chicago for excessive force related to the incident, which, according to the lawsuit, was quite the nightmare.

After Chicago police pulled over and arrested delivery driver Angel Perez in October 2012, police at the station questioned and allegedly assaulted Perez in an attempt to learn intel on robberies and drug dealers, though Perez said he did not know anything about those alleged crimes. Perez repeatedly requested a lawyer, but the police paid him no heed.

Perez says the police released him, but called him the next day and told him that his arrest was a mistake and that he needed to sign papers to prevent his car from being towed. But when Perez arrived, Lopez “slammed” his head on a car and then arrested him again.

At the police station, Perez was placed in ankle shackles and handcuffed to a bar. While Perez was languishing in a room at the station, a total of six officers entered the room and allegedly threatened to send him to jail to be raped by gang members. They also threatened to plant evidence on him if he did not cooperate with the police.

The Chicago police were particularly interested in a man named "Dwayne," whose number was in Perez’s phone. According to the suit, the Chicago PD wanted to set up a drug purchase with Dwayne, but Perez refused. Then, the police then began to “pull” and “contort” Perez’s body. The lawsuit states that a sergeant “sat on the plaintiff's chest and placed his palms on the plaintiff's eye sockets and pushed hard against them, causing plaintiff severe pain. The Sergeant also drove his elbows into plaintiff's back and head causing severe pain.” A few hours later, Officer Lopez and the sergeant pulled Perez’s pants down. Lopez allegedly said: “I hear that a big black nigger dick feels like a gun up your ass.”

Then, the two officers allegedly sodomized Perez with a gun--all while laughing hysterically. Not able to withstand the anguish of being sodomized, Perez agreed to cooperate. He called Dwayne and said he wanted to purchase heroin. Perez bought the heroin and brought along a GPS and recording device.

So he is filing a lawsuit against the police but have the police officers actually been charged criminally with anything? No where did it say anything about them being arrested which just absolutely disgusts me but I guess doesn't surprise me.

Hopefully they will bring criminal charges against those assholes..but if not then they won't ever have to worry about getting anything shoved up their arses!

See I wouldn't be half surprised to hear that this never stopped, that this is basically informal standard operating procedure since the Burge days. What surprises me here is not Chicago police raping a man with a pistol after beating the shit out of him, using 'enhanced interrogation' stress positions, and poking around in his eye sockets. No, that's par for the course. What surprises me is that they haven't terrorized this man further enough to shut him up, or fuck, just killed him while he was 'resisting arrest'. Even now, with his surprising ability to actually have his story told in a non-posthumous or non-involuntary way (nosy reporter, maybe), his chances are very slim. Look at Burge, he got away with pretty much everything while be stayed in Chicago and thus maintained his position of favor with the local machine. Daley himself was the states attorney that declined to charge Burge at the time.

A perversion of justice in every way, and yet unsurprising. And that is the even sicker thing.

EDIT: Does anybody know what district this took place in? It isn't mentioned in the article itself either, I thought maybe in the full text it might be stated but unfortunately not. Any idea?

Hard to tell what to believe in a case like this. Unfortunately that's what cops do they threaten you but god knows what goes through a lawyers head when he 'finds' a client like this...

The very next day, he was taken into custody and driven to a police station, where he says he was "handcuffed to a wall and shackled by his ankles" before being badly beaten and "sodomized" with a pistol.

The particulars of a federal suit filed by Perez against the officers allege that the officers threatened to send him to jail so he could be "raped by gang members" and were "laugh[ing] hysterically" as the tortured him.
Then they said they were going to give him "a little taste" of jail life.

Like many US cities, Chicago has a dark history of police brutality and Perez hopes that by speaking openly about what happened to him future injustices can be prevented.
I can't have this happen to someone else if I can stop it... I want these guys to be off the job, charged for what they did, and given jail time.

This is truely disgusting and a crime those fuckers deserve to rot in prison cells. They need to be registered as sex offenders or rapists and deserve their faces to be show to the public for these sick actions.

This is torture of the very citizens they are sworen to protect. Not only is this unbelievably cruel it me is a sign that these police have gone crazy with power and will continue to abuse their positions.
Next it could be murder.

They need to be made a lesson of with strict punishment to show power hunger police officers everywhere these activities are not ok and will not be tolerated.
These type of crimes are being commited more and more by police everywhere who believe they are untouchable.

If this were any drug related case they would use harsh punishment to make the example. This is even worse let these fuckers burn.

Imagine that more sadistic rapist cops, who want other people to do their jobs for them, in a war they utterly lost a long time ago.. tell me again why we want or need so many of these animals around? Legalize the drugs, clean the animals out of the police force.

When people in power (like police) abuse power like this, it should be punished more strongly than if a normal joe did the same thing.
I would say double the jail time should be pretty fair.
So, if a normal person did this, and they would get 5 years, these cops should get 10.
(But I would say the normal person should - imo -get 10 years, so these cops should get 20).

The parents of Keith Vidal, 18, called 911 to keep their mentally ill son from hurting himself or anyone else with a screwdriver during a schizophrenic episode at their home. But they say police ended up 'murdering' their child right before their eyes.

Mark Wilsey, Vidal's stepfather, said that the 90-pound teenager was already being restrained by two officers when another officer walked into the home and said, "I don't have time for this. Taser him." One of the other officers used a stun gun on Vidal, who fell to the ground, at which point Wilsey says the third officer shot and killed the young man.

He reached right up, shot this kid point-blank, with all intent to kill... He just murdered him flat out.
At least three law enforcement agencies responded to the 911 call, and one officer has been placed on administrative leave, although it is unclear if he is the officer who shot Vidal.

Prosecutors in North Carolina, where the incident occurred, have pledged to get to the bottom of the shooting "wherever the truth leads."

Vidal's family expressed grief and outrage over the killing at a press conference held by one of the responding agencies. Vidal's mother, Mary Wilsey, said she will not rest until her son's killer is brought to justice.

We want justice for my son's death. This officer who shot my son needs to be behind bars -- he needs to die, the way my son died... this is not how mental health patients should be treated.
