Opioids chewing 12 mg hydromorph contin beads

Hi. Im not opiate naive. I've been taking hydromorph immediate release pills 12 -16 mg PO at a time. Mostly for pain and it does work. I dont get a euphoria though. I've been switched to hydromorph contin 12 mg BID. If I Crack open the capsule and chew the beads am I getting all 12 of the pill at once or is it a whole lot more. I admit to chasing a high but I dont care to accidently OD. Truthfully I may not get any euphoric rushes but hope springs eternal!

Why would a time released version create euphoria? That makes no sense. Hydromorph just sucks if you dont bang it. It has no little euphoria and little warmth. Spoke some weed with it. Sometimes I get a little pulsating euphoria when smoking some oil with my dose. High doses really just make me sedated and set me into a dreamy, vivid, non-euphoric nod.

I don't know if time release creates any euphoria or not. But its what I legitimately get now from my doctor every month so I was seeing if there was anyway to have some fun while it also thankfully relieves my pain. And where as with the immediate release I know what I can take, I'm not as familiar with my bodies response to the long acting stuff since it is new to me.
