Chewed hydrocodone taking long time to hit?

Well, my g/f had her wisdom teeth out and really played the doctor for a quite a nice amount of hydros (7.5s and 5s)...
Now, the last two nights i chewed up 25 and 27.5 mg of the stuff... damn i got thrown, BUT, it still took a SOLID hour and a half or even two hours before i felt totally throwed.
Shouldnt chewing them make it work a lot faster than that?
Also, it seems to give my stomach kindof a hard time, kinda crampy feeling...
Thirdly, after like 3 hours or so, I lose the kinda fun 'high' feeling and actually get quite depressed and cranky, even though I'm still feeling altered...
(background info, I'm on 20mg/day Celexa[ssri])
Any suggestions for improving my hydro fun?

chewing them won't make that much of a diff... anything taken orally takes a while to kick in. Hydrocodone hits me fastest when i do a cold water extraction. since it is suspended in liquid already, it skips the dissolving process in your stomach and goes straight to absorbtion. takes about 1/2 hour using that process.

well, about 1 hour ago i ate another 15mg of hydro and a 5mg percoset....
so lets see, thats 42.5mg of hydro and 5mg of percoset today...
needless to say, im on cloud9 right now.

i found eating a substantial snack or food with the pills made my stomach handle them a lot better
 
Dude.. you only chew up pills that are time release. Hydrocodone isn't time release. Your stomach acids disolve pills like that within minutes. Chewing it up at best might help it kick in maybe 10 minutes.. 15 at absolute best. On the other hand it taste like shit and some gets stuck in your teeth. Just swallow them whole unless the pills say SR or Contin in the name.
 
yeah I know what you mean about the cranky part....hydrocodone is the only drug in the world that pisses me off for some reason, but who knows...
did you have vicoden or lortab??

i beengettin 120 lortab 10's on a regular and been loving it!!!
sometimes the make me angry too
