Chest Pains and MXE

Based on this, I think it's reasonable for me to make a separate thread about this (as opposed to posting in the MXE side-effects thread).

I personally am trying to find a balance with MXE. It is a medication for me. It works to de-stress, broaden my mind, and as well seems to help me feel more connected to my body. If this chemical however causes a net loss RE: my health, then I will drop it.

I started using MXE last year. For a while things were fine. But at some point I started to experience chest pains. Now, I can't be sure if it's the MXE, but from my searching, it does seem like there might be a bit of a pattern emerging. Again, I might be wrong. Correlation doesn't always equal causation. And those chest pains might just be from people experiencing it whilst on it. What I'm talking about is sustained chest pain after MXE usage.

I do not want to stop using MXE. I would rather find a balance. But I am dedicating this thread (and it may be a failed attempt at isolating a negative side-effect) to seeing whether or not anything is actually going on here.

If the mods decide this is best moved to the side-effects mega-thread then so be it, but I at least want to see if any people have experienced an annoying chest pain (whilst not on the drug + on the drug) from regular usage.

EDIT

From the search:

"Subtreshold chronic doses of irritants have a way of sensitizing and weakening tissues over time. On a prolonged subtreshold concentration of tear gas you won't have watering eyes, chest pain or cough, but you are much more likely than the average person to develop asthma, respiratory disease or even cancer of the airways. If you keep rubbing a spot on your arm, skin cancer wil develop."

It's anxiety, when i start having those feelings in my chest i know im on the road to full fledged panic attack. You should prolly take a break, i dont think mxe makes for a good medicine to be using regularly.

Well, MXE does raise pulse and blood pressure, after a few day binge my BP is that of sedentary old man who loves his steak, as opposed to an active middle aged man, who likes his steak. This gets worse the longer the binge continues (why I'll only buy single grams rarely). There could be other unknown issues as well Mr. guinea pig. :)
You might wanna physical, or at least drop by the auto bp checker at your local pharmacy.

That's the thing, it could well be anxiety. It could well be hypochondria. And it could even be psychosomatic.

I'm just wondering though if any regular users experience physical aches in their chest, that is all.

And yes, it may well not be a good med, but I want to know if this kind of thing is uncommon.

It's not uncommon to have chest problems. Reports began to emerge soon after Mxe appeared of depressed breathing in those using higher, M-hole level doses of Mxe, 50mg plus. 100mg doses seemed especialy likely to cause this problem & indeed, some hospitalisations have occured due to difficulty breathing & unconciousness. I'm asthmatic & I never noticed any depression of breathing when I was using it a few years ago. I have often suffered a tight chest on other, more traditional Psyhedelics & it doesn't put me of using them for thier respective benefits.

I've suffered anxiety related chest pain when mixing Mxe with an entactogenic stimulant. Hope this info helps, keep safe!
