thick skin, and cherry palms
a twisted wrath of waspy breaths
tangled hair, and crooked-teeth smiles.
a simple flick in the dawn of a lightswitch
a long random handshake for the nieghbor inside
nice to meet you, i say
and you explode.
ive know you for years,
your spinning blue waters
so often disperse the remnants
of what i could never quite hide.
what i could never quite
hold
inside.
i lend my faults to you
and you deliver me
with a padded smile, a protective coat
a shiny new, bright cherry red me.
the convertible version of my petty girlish self.
a greeting with a limpwristed handshake
we are weak, we know
but so it goes.
it leaves fingertips bright cherry red.
i leave my palms
bright
cherry
red.
a mutual choke for a tile-floored promenade
me in my dress,
you,
you always coated in your impermeable ire.
shot down like a coal in the snow,
and i havent the choice.
i choke you down to uplift the atmosphere
i cede my freedom
the the swirling waters of your bright white...
bright white.
to my bright cherry red...
bright white to my bright cherry red
falsified life lore.
we live in unison,
cascading through the years
in a mismatched ideal,
a surreal, stupid thought.
a simple simple thing to gain
a simply bright.
bright white
nor cherry red
just an idle thought
a colorless notion
of my own shadow.

you words alwayws always captivate me with their beauty and fluidity. you have such a gift. keep putting us in awe!

The imagery!!! Poetry, as a word, has such a broad definition - but this truly encapsulates everything I would imagine poetry to be. Thank you. :)
