it happend last night
it's been quite some time
since i've fallen in

it used to happen quite often
but then again
i don't party quite as often
as i used too
it always seems to happen
on the dance floor
lost in the music
lost in the ecstacy
our eyes meet
and BAM
smitten
just like that
he was a dancer like me
he was tall
he was beautiful
he was mine
for the night
strange
how in the moment
you truly feel
love
connection
passion
all for a stranger
i wanted to hold him
forever
my favorite moment
was collapsing into his arms
after jumping around
in circles
two goofy freaks
oblivious to others
sharing a moment
towards the end of the night
i kissed him 3 times
just tiny little pecks
eyes closed
surging emotions
butterflies
and that was it
if only i could find
real love
as powerful as this
chemical love
for the ecstacy
always wears off
and i'm left with
a beautiful stranger
who just hours before was
my true love
my soul mate
awkward
hesitant
unsure
we usually part ways
with one last
meaningful glance
hoping to someday
reunite
in the same state
we were in
when we met.....
